Great place with very resonable
prices and delicious dishes. We had calamari rings, grilled fish, kofta and lamb, with some salad and appetisers like tasty Baba Ganoush and everything was cooked nicely and taste was amazing

Very delicious food. It’s winter so the second floor does not have air con. Quite breezy and if you like the cold, you can sit outside on the verandah. The food is delicious, we ordered hummus after reading the good reviews and the waiter even gave us another appetizer with hummus (again), mutabel and spicy chilli tomatoes. Main dish, we ordered one chicken kebab and one grilled fish. The fish is very fresh, comes with some rice and fries, very filling indeed. The kebab was also nice, served on pita bread.
Overall good service. The table behind us was kinda noisy and they were a big group of locals, so they are probably enjoying the food a lot.

Best value for money fishing restaurant!

After having seen the prices I was sceptical of the quality of the food but I can now definitely say that it is very very good… especially the fried calamari!

In 3 we have ordered 5 appetisers, 4 fish main dishes and 2 cocktails each and we spent only 56 JOD!!

They are always busy so If you are in Aqaba and want to try it I recommend to book a table in advance.

I went with my family for dinner here and it was amazing. We had grilled whole fish and grilled fish fillet. Grilled whole fish had amazing flavors. We don't have big appetite so didn't order starters, but the waiver brought us complementry dips and bread as we were waiting. They were busy in the evening so it can take some time to get order, but it is worth the wait.

We went twice during our visit. Excellent service. First time we had the meat platter, 2nd time had fish which was my favourite. Served with salads/dips. Lemon and mint drink is nice and freebies are a lovely touch!

I stayed in Aqaba for a couple of hours and I was recommended this restaurant.

Food is fresh and super delicious. Portions are adequate and all foods are homemade. I have probably had the best hummus in Jordan here!!

Do not let the “old” look of this place fool you. This is HANDS DOWN without any doubt the BEST restaurant in Aqaba. The prices are amazing in comparison to the other restaurants in Aqaba, the food is AMAZING and FRESH, the service is AMAZING. If I could bring this restaurant with me wherever I go, I would. I don’t leave reviews ever, but this was worth going out of my way because I only hope to see it be successful and never shut down.
We came for dinner and got the meats and it was so good we trusted that their seafood will be good as well. We came back for lunch next day and ordered fried shrimp and grilled fish. (We are coming back again for dinner) we’ve tried so many places here and nothing has truly hit the spot and made us happy the way Al Shami has so we don’t need to look any further b/c we’ve found the spot.
For dinner we got lamb chops and grilled mix platter and salad and soup on the side.
Also these is a sweets place right by them I suggest getting from there. The owner is Syrian and so sweet and the restaurants get their sweets from him. His Iknafa is amazing *chefs kisses*

PS: they only take cash no visa and they aren’t like other restaurants where you’ll find a service charge it is exactly as the menus says

Very delicious food. Loved how the grilled fish was spiced. And the cold appetizers were amazing - for me the best mutabal in Jordan. The restaurant has a balcony on the first floor overlooking the Sharif Hussein bin Ali Mosque and even a sea view. Nice service. Would definitely visit again.

Very nice food and great staff you always get something complimentary (pickles, tea, spreads, bread, sauces). We tried the shami dish and, fisherman basket, daily menu, fish soup two times, mint lemonade, everything was amazing, we went back to eat several times, has a nice terrace view to the mosque. They are super nice we asked for extra grilled tomato and onion without question and didn't have to pay extra. When in Aqaba we will go back for sure, for amazing and also great staff.

Delicious food and amazing service! They were very nice to us and gave us many complimentary side dishes and tea. They were very generous with the portions. We ordered 5 different types of sea food and they all were delicious. Very happy with this restaurant and would highly recommend. This is one of the best food I have had in jordan. Most other places I ate meat I felt it was dry but this was very juicy.

This restaurant was recommended by us by a lady called Bianca working for Wadi Rum Nomads, and have to say, I was not disappointed. It was the best food we had during our entire trip. Don’t be dismayed by the person in front trying to lure you in. Normally, this would put me off, bur with the good recommendation we tries it anyway. Great food and great prices. Best hummus I ever ate.

We had the best meal in a very long time! Our first time in Jordan!!!! Everyone at the restaurant was so kind and gracious. The food was incredible!!!!!!! You will regret walking past this place if you want a good meal!!!!!!

Probably the best food I have ever had in my life. And definitely the best food during our stay in Jordan. Period. Seriously, try this place - you will not be disappointed. Staff speaks English and is very nice and efficient.

Things you need to know about eating out in Aqaba: trust the reviews. I have prepared and every single place was a delight. Food in the hotel were boring and over priced (per usual).

In Al Shami, the food was delicious (and the servings were huge!), impeccable service. I have tried fish, chicken and meat in my two visits and it did not disappoint!!!

Food was good. People were nice. We were early for dinner so we managed a seat on the balcony before the restaurant completely filled up.

This place was recommended to us by our guide in Wadi Rum. It was so good. I ate way too much. Great service and maybe the best meal we had in Jordan

Came here for dinner. Sat inside at first and then when a table became available on the terrace then we were able to sit outside. This is a lovely restaurant with lovely food. Good value too! The food was tasty and fresh. Very pleased with our visit here. Not commercialised which is good.

Good Jordanian restaurant in akaba with a cute little balcony with a view at the mosque and to the ocean.

The calamari and the shish kebab were very good, also the spicy kishik. The staff was very kind and surprised us with some complimentary dishes.

Fantastic place, very tasty and authentic local food, prepared on a charcoal grill on the front of the restaurant. Nice staff, speaking good English. Free startets and tea at the end were a nice surprise. I recommend kofta with tahini and shish kebab - the best we ate in Jordan!
