Salman Zwaidh Camp

This camp is the best in Wadi Rum. It is 7km deep into the desert, so is far from the road and other camps! Salman the host is incredibly welcoming and kind. For any female travellers out there, the camp is very safe and everyone is very respectful. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Salman Zwaidh Camp in Wadi Rum delivered an incredible Bedouin experience that exceeded my expectations. The staff's warmth and friendliness made me feel at home from the start. The highlight was the amazing Bedouin-style dinner, offering a true taste of the region's flavors.

The desert tour was a standout, with knowledgeable guides sharing captivating stories. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable, providing a perfect blend of modern amenities and traditional charm. I was delighted of the place and the hospitality and the food. The owner is a very nice person, he focused his attention on the guests and wanted each guest to feel good with him. Cottages with a beautiful view of the desert.

Great camp! Very peaceful and quiet, located in the middle Protected Area, surrounded by rock mountains (some of which you can climb). Salman is a wonderful host, the food from Chef Bakr is delicious and the stargazing is beautiful. Recommended!

The best place in Wadi Rum, we enjoyed a lot there, location is perfect, in the middle of the desert, the breakfast and dinner buffet are really good, one of the best we had in Jordan for sure, the staff is amazing and the view from the tent also. I recommend everyone to go there, price are more then good for what they propose ! Thank you again

This is the perfect camp for a Wadi Rum getaway! This camp is located in actual Wadi Rum reservoir (about 9km in from start point) and because of that it is so peaceful and silent. The staff at this camp are all exceptional! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and memorable. Probably one of the best foods I’ve tried in my time in Jordan. There is a option to do Jeep Safari (I recommend booking 4h so you can visit all beautiful places) and next day you should ride a camel at sunrise to see exceptional views. I cannot recommend more this camp for a proper authentic Wadi Rum experience.

Had a great time on my solo trip staying with Salman at his camp well inside Wadi Rum. Salman is very accommodating, the food is wonderful, the place is clean and the views are breathtaking. In the evening we enjoyed songs round the fire with other guests and went to gaze at the stars after. Would certainly recommend and I hope to stay here again!

Salman and his team were fantastic! The camp faces the sunrise and we could watch it from the bed. That was really special. We also took a 2 hour jeep tour with other 2 people for a very reasonable price, 35JOD the four of us.
The food was amazing! They slow-cooked chicken and vegetables for dinner and a very nice maqluba for lunch :)
We felt that Salman took really good care of us and had a very pleasant experience, we recommend 100%! Thank you Salman, we hope to come back!

I had an amazing time in this camp! It’s a beautiful camp with Bedouin tents, situated between mountains. It’s incredible to be so deep in the desert 🏜 I saw the stars at night and listened to the silence of the desert. Salman also organised a jeep tour for me and my friends which was incredible! I really liked the traditional food (Zarb), thanks to bakr the cook! The tents were clean and the panorama view was incredible (: I hope to be back some day (and see Shakira the sweetes cat again haha)

I had an exceptional stay at Salman's camp in the Wadi Rum desert. The staff and owner were incredibly welcoming and kind, making the experience all the more special. It's clear that this hotel is run by honest and genuine people, and not by those looking to take advantage of tourists. If I ever return to Jordan with my family, I will definitely be staying at Salman's again. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Sleeping at Salman's in the desert was one of the best experiences in Jordan. A very friendly and good man - he hosted us and provided a delicious dinner and breakfast. All the guests were full and satisfied. In addition, the form of dinner preparation was an interesting experience.
I immediately say that you can't get there by an ordinary car, but Salmon picks you up - it's also a great experience to drive through the desert on trunk! I highly recommend this place and this person! :)

Salman is a real host. His camp Is located in one of the best corner of the Wadi Rum protected area far from the caothic jeep tracks that run from Wadi Rum village to the South part of the reserve. The rooms are clean, with private wc and with a magnific window on the desert. The food made by the chief is very tasty.
The bedouin driver and Johnny were very kind and helped us when we got lost.
HE IS ONE OF THE FEW THAT ALLOWED YOU TO REACH THE CAMP BY FOOT AND DOESN'T FORCE YOU TO DO THE JEEP TOURS.

We stayed here in May and we were all so happy with how it went. The little homes are pretty and clean with their own bathrooms, the food was delicious, and the host was very gracious and understanding of our late arrival. Half of us went on a very fun Jeep trip with a great guide and my kids enjoyed the camel tour. A really fantastic experience!

Salman and his team made the stay a wonderful experience. We felt at home at all times. Really good food and very decent facilities in the middle of the wonderful wadi rum desert.

Please be careful of the pirates at the visitor center, they are standing there and waiting for visitors to tell them that salmans camp is in a different location, and that they should change camp to a better one.

This is not true, in fact, salmans camp is located in a privileged spot where you can’t see any other camps around you. It is a peaceful and quite place.

We will most definitely visit soon again.

The Salmen Zwadeh Camp was a very nice experience in the Wadi Rum desert. The crew was very nice, friendly and very caring. Camels rides, walks and jeep tour worth it !
Nice place to stay a couple of days for low budget, far from the city in good company. We had a great time and recommend !

The stay in the camp couldn't be more perfect, it is difficult to even describe the atmosphere, you must come there. Extremely nice people, peace, a sense of community, it was all amazing! Additionally, you can buy a jeep tour during the day or camel ride to the sunrise, which we highly recommend! The taste of the tea served is still remembered, and the cute kitten guarding the camp stole our hearts ❤ To sum up: you have to experience it and see it with your own eyes, otherwise you will not believe it!

Our favorite place in Wadi Rum. The camp is comfortable and has porches to relax and enjoy the silence. Far from any source of light for an amazing stargazing experience
