Wadi Rum UFO Luxotel

We really enjoyed our stay at UFO Luxotel. One thing to note is that the hotel is not within the Wadi Rum protected area, so it is about 5 minutes drive to the main gate. The hotel does have some partnership with the local bedouins who can take you on a desert or camel tour, but it is better to liaise with the local bedouin on your own.

The bubble tents are really nice, made of plastic, come with a standing shower, washbasin and a comfortable bed. Some people complain that the plastic tents were dirty or not that good for viewing outside, but we had no issues with that. There is air conditioning inside the tent. Outside the tent, there is a hammock and some chairs. At night, the weather in the desert can get quite cold so we enjoyed the special fur blanket provided in the room.

There was a stargazing photography course but we did not sign up for it. The food was absolutely delicious, from the dinner with local dishes and underground baked lamb, to the breakfast buffet.

Since our tent was quite far from the entrance, there was a buggy to send us to our room. But on the day of the checkout, after calling reception, the buggy took a bit longer than expected.

Overall we enjoyed our stay in the desert in these luxury tents, and the price was affordable.

Wonderful place to visit. The bubbles are spacious, clean and well equipped. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The location is absolutely unbeatable, you'll feel like part of a fairy tale - the best place for star gazing and tranquil rest. A lot of amenities and activities are available on site. The food waa delicious and fresh. I could not recommend more!

I love this place, we had a great time there. The employees were really kind, the bubble was clean, comfortable and cozy. The only concern that the space of shower box was small. I also suggest to take disposal hangers with you.

Everything was great in this wonderful tent hotel. Located in the middle of Wadi Rum you cannot ask for more. The bathroom and the room itself as well as the balcony need a little bit of maintenance, but this is the only negative point to mention. The breakfast and the dinner have been very delicious and prepared freshly by a great staff. You have to book a hot air balloon ride and a 4WD in the desert - just amazing. Also, if you have a chance to book the stargazing event, this is fantastic. We had a wonderful time!

We had a great time here. We stayed for a night in bubble tents. The experience from arriving at their own car park till the time we got back to the car park was 5*. The food was amazing. We did a sunset jeep ride which was for 35 JD and it was great. The room was comfortable and secure.

Pros:
-Great Location, service, food, and tours
-MUST take their star gazing & Wadi Rum Jeep Tour. Amazing experience.
-You can book any tours at the campsite instead of booking in advance online with a ridiculous price
-The breakfast and dinner are delicious. Many selections.
-The room is spacious and beautiful
-Best bubble hotel overall with a great pice
-The boss and his staff are professional and friendly. They really try their best to satisfy every guests.
-Wadi Rum is the best desert I ever visited!

Cons:
-A bit tricky to enter the Wadi Rum hotel pickup point. We have to first drive to visitor centre then to hotel pickup point and park the car. A 4x4 jeep will pick all the guests up and drive to campsite.
-4x4 Jeep rides to campsite and back to pickup point is extremely uncomfortable. My eyes and mouth are covered with sand.

Tips:
-Take jeep tour as early as possible. So you can have the whole tour by yourself
-Wadi Rum is one of the world's best stargazing locations
-Star Gazing offers free photoshoot with Milky Way
-No hot water pass 7PM
-Be careful with wild camels

Rooms are amazing however the location is not as it's mentioned and also you need to wait sometimes more than hour so they pick you up feom the camp to the parking lot, and the street when you get in or out the parking lot is sooo bad really bad.
The place is amazing if they put there attention more.

Great cozy vibes and it’s got nice scenery around. The beds are comfy. Also the food is delicious. The staff are great dealing with high standards professional behaviour. Also they organise tours which are great too. Amazing stay with which are unique also got many facilities which hotels like these normally don’t have such as ac which can change temperature weather its hot or cold. Spacey room too. Can’t fault it. The food aswell there is a huge variety of different foods which is inclusive also adds breakfast and lunch.

Great service, welcoming staff and amazing food. In addition to the beauty of the place itself. I would definitely return and recommend to others.

Excellent concept , excellent service , excellent management. The hotel has a very unique location and setup in Wadi Rum and what makes it so unique that you feel really welcome.the team and management is so considered to make each of his guest happy. I am a frequent traveler and first time I have experienced such an attentive team . From the great view of the rooms, the star gazing , the tours , the fire camp at the desert and the hospitality I have experienced , I will definitely visit again. Great thanks to all the UFO luxotel team and especially to the manager Mr.Musab who is setting just an great example of customer happiness and leadership . Can’t wait for my next visit with my family.

I spent a day and a half at Wadi Rum and the UFO Luxotel, and it was a tremendous experience. I noticed that some reviews complained about a number of things, and I want to take a bit of time detailing my experiences. Firstly, I had no issues with pick up. The driver had a bit of a confusion finding it at first, but I was able to quickly contact the hotel staff to point the driver in the right direction. The hotel has been great about communicating with me on WhatsApp so I never felt lost. Once we arrived at the pick up location, we waited for 10-15min for the truck to arrive to take us to the hotel, which was as advertised and expected.

Once we arrived, our room wasn’t ready yet, so we were able to book a camel tour, which the staff was able to help us book right away. We did wait for 30-40min for the camels to arrive, but it is camel walking in the desert after all. The camel riding experience, which I’ve never done, was amazing. Our guide was really friendly, and trekking the desert on camel was just an incredible experience. The tour lasted for a little over an hour, and I was surprised to know that I could pay pay contactless payment and credit card.

The room was really nice. Yes there is some cosmetic aging, but overall the room was in good condition. All the appliances were in working condition, and there was nothing broken. The room was clean and the furniture was in good condition. The shower was small, but the same as advertised, and it was in good condition, with hot water on demand. The shower door didn’t close all the way, but it was not a bother at all. Overall the room was really comfortable, and with a sim room that opened to stare at night. It does get really cold at night. I brought thermals and wore them to sleep. The AC unit did work well, but it was still cold at night in the spring.

The meals were fine. The buffets for dinner and breakfast had a wide variety of options, and a member of the staff cooked omelets and eggs for the guests. The ingredients weren’t the best perhaps, but we are talking about meals in the middle of the desert after all. And to be fair, the meals there were better than buffets in some 4 star hotels.

The jeep tour I think is a must. We did the 2 hour ride (there was an option for 3). This was the best way for us to see the desert and all of its majesty. The guide and driver took us to a few different sights, such as the location where they filmed the Martian, a Nabataean cave, and a place where there was Nabataean art on the cliff face. We ended the tour to watch the sunset. I included some photos I took from the ride.

We were able to arrange transportation from Wadi Rum back to Amman with no issues. The driver waited for us on time, and we departed to the drop off location on time as well.

The service at the hotel was friendly and attentive. They were able to make sure my stay went smoothly and seamlessly.

I would highly recommend the experience to anyone.

This place is simply amazing !!!!
You need to take a 20 minute trip into the desert for reaching it - the place is hide behind the mountains - but then you will enjoy a simply amazing experience.
I wish to return there soon!

What a wonderful, unique experience! Highly recommend! Our bubble was well equipped and clean. The service was great and the owner, Mohammed, was exceptional! He was extremely personable. He introduced himself to us while during dinner and asked us to let him know if we needed anything. One of the best parts for us was laying on the hammock and star gazing - it was incredible and definitely a once in a life time experience.

Amazing location and a unique experience. All the staff were friendly and the desert tour arranged by the hotel with a local guide was brilliant. He was so friendly. Would be nice for a bit more privacy in the bathroom area but overall really recommend!

It was an incredible stay with such a luxurious hotel ! 3 hour drive from Queen alia Airport. With wonderful location between sand dunes and mountains!
Would like to thank Miss TASNIM from the reservation department who took all the initiative to make sure our stay was very convenient and comfortable. She organized the rooms which have a great view and took the initiative to suggest some local taxis for our stay with great prices . She also took care of pickup and drop from airport to hotel and sightseeing during our stay . She recommended local cuisine with a lot of places to visit like Petra , Monastery, Dead Sea , maain Springs , Camel riding, etc.
When we arrived at the hotel another great group of people we met. MR. HADI , TAJID ( TJ) from reception, made our stay wonderful. They took care of transportation every time . Recommended local cuisine. Suggested to go for Jeep tour for local sightseeing, sand dunes , star gazing during Night and many more. HADI, you did a great job ! Even he arranged romantic night dinner, which I wanted to give a surprise to my partner. He made sure it looked fabulous under stars and away from all in-house guests! Our personal and private cabana was incredible with special local cuisine for us . He even arranged a surprise birthday cake, which was above and beyond our expectations!
Overall it was 9 star 🌟 I would like to give! Thank you hiring such a great staff who are courteous .

A camp with true hotel services...I totally disapprove going to wadi rum and staying anywhere but there....loved ittttt

Very luxurious bubble hotel in the middle of the Mars like dessert. It certainly gives a feeling you are on Mars( if you have seen martian, you know what I mean🤣). Amazing stay. They also organize dessert safari, star gazing and camel safari. We took dessert keep safari.
