We had a lovely day visiting the sanctuary. All animals looked well fed and well looked after. The tour went at 13:30 and it was around 2hours, perfect time if you have small children. We really enjoyed it and we saw lots of animals and very close up to us. Amazing experience! Staff were very nice and friendly.

Accompanied by our amazing nice guide Mr Ahmad me and my wife had a great tour at the place, the place is will organized and clean , they have such a noble cause. I recommend the place for all visitors, it’s about 30 mints away from the capital Amman

A sanctuary is not a zoo, I feel this is a very important note to highlight as I’ve noticed that most of the reviews complaining about the number of animals in sight and the point of the place is not to entertain people but to help animals heal and try to release them into their natural environment.
That been said; the staff is incredible, our guide was Ahmad and he was passionate about all the info he explained to the group.
Generally is was a great experience

A very nice place for the family. Super nice panoramic views. Convenient coffee place is available and a small outdoor play area for the kids. Staff are professional and very friendly.
About one hour after arrival there, a bus takes you to the animals reserve and a guide provides a full useful explanation of the animals history. A joyful experience and highly recommended for a visit.

I had an incredible experience visiting this animals natural reserve ! The staff, especially Huthafa Odibat, were absolutely amazing. They showed such dedication and love towards the animals, and it was heartwarming to see how well they were taken care of. Lions, bears, monkeys, hyenas, raccoons, wolves, and tigers were all well-fed, healthy, and had plenty of room to roam around. The staff were incredibly knowledgeable and gave us a wealth of information about each animal's behavior and habitat. I highly recommend this zoo to anyone looking for a fun and educational day out, and make sure to give a special shout-out to Huthafa and the rest of the staff for their hard work and passion for animal welfare!

Such an amazing well preserve place.
An excellent experience going through the tour in this animal shelter with our guide Firas, who was very knowledgeabl about each animals. He called them by their names and told us the story behind each one of them that began with a sad or torture start, but finally have a happy ending at the shelter.
Lots of respect for all the staff that made our visit an amazing and unforgettable one.
Highly recommend.

Exceeded my expectations by far. Great place, well kept, clean bathrooms and welcoming staff. The guide, Mr. Zaid Al Etoum is so knowledgeable and was very informative. The nature is unbelievably nice. We heard the Leon’s roar a number of times, my kids loved it. They have plans to expand it more and add more animals, I would definitely visit again.

This is one of the must-visit underrated places in Jordan!
You can enjoy watching some beautiful animals in the 110 hectares wildlife not in cages, everything is done professionally, from welcoming , to the guidance, and most importantly the way they deal with the animals, they give them the freedom( except their meals 😁) and make sure no one provokes them!
You can meet many lions, lionesses, tigers, monkeys, bears, wolves and one hyena.
Their facilities are also great; cafe, restroom, prayer room, outdoor tables where you can enjoy a snack with a green view and watch your kids have fun in the playground before your turn arrive, you may also sit under a tree next to the playground and enjoy your lunch.
I bet all their guides are professional, but ask for Zaid AlOtoum, he's really a nice man!

Great to visit this place. Amazing to hear it is the only animal protection centre in the whole of MENA region! Doing great work. Our guide Ahmed was very knowledgeable and clearly is proud of the work done by this centre.
It is not a zoo, so do not come expecting lots of varieties of animals. It is a rescue centre where the animals they have are what has been rescued and couldn't be safely returned to the wild.

An absolutely fantastic wildlife sanctuary. All of the animals have been rescued from neglect or illegal ownership or war torn areas.
Extensive expansion going on now. Adding new areas for the soon to be added monkeys and more.
Each of the wildlife pens are absolutely huge and are natural environment setups. The wildlife park is over 100 hectares in size. The electrical used on site is Solar and the water used is collected rain and runoff. Soon to be added are gardens to grow the required vegetables from the animals.
Currently have numerous Lions, lionesses and Bengal tigers and bears and a spotted heyenna.
Unlike many wildlife areas, these animals are healthy looking and obviously well taken care of now.
A very nice visitor center and Cafe on site at the entrance. Get yourself a cup of tea while you wait for the bus to take you up to the wildlife area.
It is a guided walking tour with extremely informative guides. Our guide spoke English as well as Arabic.
This is the time to go, crowds are small now and will only increase in size once this covid crisis ends. Get out and see a great wildlife park while you can.
Please do everyone a favor and leave small children at home for the sake of the other visitors.

Nice place where you can actually see animals at their natural habitat. Make sure to come as early as possible to avoid the heat as it closes at 3 pm
