Lot's Cave

Good hiking/walking shoes required. You can enter the cave if you can scale a small wall. Great views. If you have hiked in Petra, this is a piece of cake. The nearby museum features items found by archeologists inside the cave

For Moslems this place is very important and interesting, although you have to put extra energy to pass about more than 280 stairs.. The museum itself has a cafe..and it is free entrance with Jordan Pass. If you like, you can also pay 8JD for shutle bus.

Lot's cave is one of the best religious sites located east of the dead Sea. According to the old testament, it's said that lot, his wife and two daughters had to escape the burning of Seldom and Amora and settled in a cave. Please refer to the Holy Bible to read the whole story.

Been looking for this site for awhile now, good hike up the mountain but it is worth it, very educational experience.

There are some good reviews about the significance of this site, I would not add any further but one advise to use "Lowest Point on Earth" museum" site on google map to access it.

I live in the lowest area in the world, Jordan valley near the dead sea, there are many farmers there, and it's a pretty relaxing area. It's a nice town in the summer, but it's very hot. The weather is warm in winter, that's the best time to visit. There is a museum with a greet mosaic, and the Tomb of the Prophet Lot is found here. You should visit it. It's an amazing place.

First Museum of the lowest Point from there to Lot's Cave.

It's a good incline and then 320 steps up the mountain to it.

Tiring as there long steps to the top but it’s worth it another thing you should have 4x4 car.

The hike takes approximately 10-15min. The view on top is phenomenal. It was not possible to enter the cave.

The presence of early churche at the place might be the prove that this is the real cave of Lot. Access to the cave is closed at 1600 but you still can see around and from outside.

Quite a lot of steps but worth the climb

Very interesting. If this really was the Cave of Lot, it was the start of the Ammonite and Moabite people.

Try to explor the cave to stand That caltures in that history Periods, & The event's in that Region...
