Petra Moon is striving for excellence, to be an American or European level agency, and they are getting close. Our private trip included a driver and guide who both made every effort to pamper us. After a disappointing experience with our Amman hotel they upgraded us to the Intercontinental Hotel, a major change at no charge. I doubt that you will find a developing country agency that operates at this level. Our guide had English language skills that left something to be desired, but certainly tried hard. Hotel shortcomings are not their fault, so I doubt it gets much better.

Sorry for the long post, but I can’t recommend this company enough! When I was looking for reviews of Petra Moon, I had a hard time finding information…but let me tell you…THIS IS AN INCREDIBLE TOUR COMPANY!!! My friends and I booked a week long custom tour through Jordan. Our guide, Ghaedan, was absolutely phenomenal! He was brilliant with his historical knowledge, patient with the needs of our group, and so welcoming and enthusiastic about sharing the incredible beauty of this country and its people. We also got to meet the local manager (Mohammed) and several drivers and guides who were all spectacular! Paying for the tour made me a little nervous because you don’t have to pay ahead of time like other travel companies…but it was no problem, we just paid with credit card once we arrived in Petra. The agent who helped us plan the trip online (Raeda) was awesome at providing prompt information about our tours and hotels (and all the millions of questions we asked!). Our guide helped us navigate through customs coming from Israel to Jordan (that is an adventure on its own!), and he made sure we always had every detail of our tour arranged perfectly—even after we parted ways for some relaxation time at the end of our trip. I can’t wait to see how this company grows in the future…can’t wait for another adventure with Petra Moon! (p.s. If you need a sign to book the trip…this is your sign 😉).

Fadi, (can’t remember his last name)!, our tour guide for a church group from Pasadena, cA was fantastic! We toured many places in Jordan in our short 3 day tour. Our first day we visited the site of Jesus’s baptism at Yardenit, Mt Nebo, the oldest mosaic map of Palestine. We stayed at a Bedouin camp with a full dinner and traditional music. We climbed an orange sand dune, had tea at Lawrence springs, saw ancient rock inscriptions and camels. And of course, we spent a day seeing Petra, including a donkey ride! All of this in 3 days! Our accommodations were great!
Also, Petra Moon assisted our group and went beyond the call of duty by coming back to pick up one of our members who was not allowed to enter our next country on our tour. They picked him up and arranged to put him in a hotel overnight while other arrangements were made. Thank you Petra Moon and Fadi!
