What great hosts. We enjoyed the bittersweet pleasure of having the camp to ourselves because of the current sad situation. We felt important to not cancel and to enjoy the Jordanian hospitality.

The basic tents were good but there was a bit of a strong incense smell initially. That’s the only downside. The food was great. The hosts also helped us out so much when I came down with a nasty cough (not covid) I missed a lot of the activities but my wife as treated amazingly. The bathrooms were fine. Our friends had the deluxe place and really enjoyed the sunrise.

Joined 2 days 2 nights tour and stayed in the regular tent. I am satisfied and happy with the tour as well as the tour guide.

The first day we spent time with other group mates to walk the canyon, do sand boarding, crazy climbing at Lawrence’s spring. We did the simple but delicious lunch, and some relaxing time after the lunch (which Im also expected because the local said they will take nap after lunch to avoid activities at the hottest time of the day). The dinner is also great with variety of food. After dinner we spent some time dancing with the group and listened to the local singing.

The regular tent is very basic, literally a bed and a small table and trash bin. The shared bathroom is clean and there is hot water for a quick shower. I have nothing to complain.

On the second day we drove to the southern part of Wadi Rum and we hiked at the highest mountain in Jordan. A very tiring but yet rewarding hike! We also spend a long time having lunch with our tour guide afterwards and had a nice chat exchanging our culture. This is what travelling is about, we know more about others’ culture, we respect each other, I treasured this moment with our tour guide a lot.

What I think is you cannot expect luxury food and accommodation in the desert, and the camp is what I am expecting to experience. If you are not prepared to walk a lot and experiencing the desert, maybe you should stay in a hotel instead.

I highly recommended this tour, if you are a hiker, you should also challenge to hike the highest mountain in Jordan as well! I am glad I chose a 2 days 2 nights tour here.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Three amazing days with tours - Mohammed, our guide, was so knowledgeable with a warm and entertaining personality that made the wonder of Wadi Rum extra special. The evening’s singing and dancing was really fun and the food excellent. Such a professional set-up with everything running smoothly from start to finish. Stayed in the luxury tent - balcony even had a huge padded swinging bed which made gazing up at the sea of stars magical.

Unforgettable time and what an amazing place. The sunset was a dream. During the tours, while being guided through the desert and contemplating the beatiful views, there was always plenty of fresh water and tea being offered. We stayed for two days and two nights. The food was some of the best we had while in Jordan, from the lunch prepared in the middle of the desert (followed by a relaxing nap), to the buffet dinner in the camp with some delicious traditional dishes. We chose the non-luxury tents, just a bed, but comfortable, and the shared bathroom was always very clean and with hot water for shower. Great value for money! 100% recommend

Rum Star Camp was all you could ask for. The location is nestled between a dune and a rock face which is stunning. Dinner and activities are on a tent on the dune and the view is stunning, especially at night. The food was incredible, with options for vegetarians. Everything is included in the price and it's really good value for the money. I wish I could remember all the team names, but they all were so nice, I went on a Jeep tour, Our guide has a perfect English, he was a really great guide! He takes great photos too. The tents are clean and there are plenty of blankets so you don't get cold. The bathroom were very clean and had a very hot shower. I Would definitely recommend! I wish I had booked two nights, one night is enough time to enjoy the camp and the desert but you will want more.
Thank you all♥

We stayed at the Rum Stars Camp for 3 nights in August.
We chose the executive suite to benefit from A/C during the summer (which fyi only works from 7pm to 7am) and the standing was exceptional: spacious room well furnished and comfy with a private bathroom, huge window/door leading to a beautiful terrace with a desert view and perfect seating area.
The camp in itself was perfect, and well located in the protected area of Wadi Rum. There is a common sitting area where everyone reunited at night for a cup of tea and some discussions by the fire. Breakfast and diner were buffet style. The dinners were particularly tasty with a lot of choices, very well made, including typical chicken/vegetables cooked underground. Lunch was prepared by our guide during our visits of Wadi Rum, perfect as well.
We booked two days of visit of Wadi Rum, in a private tour (120 JOD/pers for two days) so we were just the two of us with our guide Mohamed. We visited a lot of wonderful places, did some hiking/climbing (easy) and rest in shadowy places during the hottest period of the day. We discussed beforehand to leave very early (5.30 am) and enjoy the cold weather and sunrise, which was easily organized with the camp manager Youssef.
If you decide to book tours directly with Rum Stars Camp, I cannot recommend you more to request Mohamed as your guide. He loves beautiful and silent places, with no one around, just like us, which made the perfect fit! He showed us great places, provided us with explanations about the sites and nature, and cooked us delicious lunch! He was kind, patient and funny - and also a really good photograph :) He made sure to tailor the tours to our interests, and on our last day he offered us the ingredients to make the traditional Bedouin tea as I asked him about the recipe two days before... which is enough in itself to demonstrate what a great person he is!
All this to say we 100% recommend this camp!

Don’t hesitate - just book this camp. You will not be disappointed; it is an experience I will remember for ever. Highly recommend getting a luxury tent for the amazing views from the balcony and private bathroom. The food was excellent quality and the tea around the fire at night was fun and staff friendly and helpful. We did the sunset jeep tour - saw lots but detailed information from the guide was limited ( more a driver than guide). Saw a beautiful sunset to finish the tour. All in all a great desert experience and we are sad it is over,

Very nice camp for visiting Wadi Rum. We have opted for a 1 day hiking tour to Jabel al Hash. The hike is very easy but allows you to reach fantastic places from were you can see an incredible view of the desert. Our guide Aoude was very good and entertaining. The lunch was cooked by himself and served to us in the shadows. The sunset viewing in the evening was breathtaking. The camp is nice and clean, toilets are clean. The dinner was also good.

Rum Stars Camp was amazing! This is a family run Beduin camp and you can really feel this by the hospitality of each one of the staff.
We parked our hire car at their office and took a day desert tour with a jeep to ourselves on the day we arrived. The tour was great and included a hike, sand dunes and sunset. We then drove to the Beduin camp after sunset. We had opted for the larger suite cabin which includes private toilets / plug points which is definitely worth it. The rooms are so clean, the decor is authentic and when you step outside the back door, you are literally in the middle of the desert - so peaceful at sunrise. We had an incredible dinner buffet made up of local food and then spent an evening around the campfire.
Ahmed who hosted the evening was very hospitable along with his brothers and cousins. Would definitely recommend and wouldn't look elsewhere for an authentic Beduin camp experience!

Wonderful camp in the middle of the desert. You can choose between a basic tent, which is absolutely lovely and cozy, or a superior style hut with own terrace. They are doing day trips in the desert if you wish to. The staff is very friendly, food is great. Would go there a second or third time. :)

Spent one night here. Did the jeep tour and a camel ride. Had a great time. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Facilities were clean and comfortable. Recommend staying here when in Wadi Rum.

Wonderful experience in Wadi Rum for my family of 5! We had a Jeep tour (pretty established route for sure as there were many others along the route) to the camp which included lots of time for rock climbing and sandboarding), overnight in the camp (glamping with a yummy Bedouin dinner), and a camel ride back. Gorgeous environment, stunning stars, and great hosts (when my wallet had fallen out of my backpack, 3 of them immediately came out with their lights to help me find it in the dark)

We did the sunset tour and stayed one night at the camp - would absolutely do it again! Rum Stars is a very professional family business, run by a bedouin family who's lived in Wadi Rum for ages. Ali, your contact when you organize your trip, speaks perfect english and answers all your questions patiently. His brother Yousef, our guide, speaks also very well english and made us feel safe the whole time. He took us to the nicest spots in the desert, shared his tricks how to get up there and told us the stories behind it. We got endless amounts of cold water and bedouin chay. In the evening we could watch how our food was cooked burried in the sand. The dinner buffet was absolutely stunning. After dinner we sat around the fire and could ask all our questions about the bedouin lifestyle/ living in the desert. Eventough we had a lovely tent with a great view, we spent the night outside because we couldn't stop star gazing - without extra cost.
After breakfast Yousef made sure to take us back right in time to catch the public bus to Wadi Musa.

We stayed at Rum Stars for one night and did the classic full-day desert tour the next day. Both were incredible experiences. Camps in Wadi Rum are quite similar in terms of what they offer and none of them are really cheap, but I had emailed a few camps to inquire and Rum Stars had the most detailed answer with the best price. The camp was clean and the food was great (lots of vegetarian and vegan options).

Our experience with Rum Stars camp was fantastic! Salem was our driver + guide, and he was wonderful. We had a private day-tour and loved exploring the beautiful nature of Wadi Rum. The dinner at the camp was great, and the hospitality was wonderful. The camp was a lot "fancier" than I anticipated, with hot showers and very nice tent-like structures. Plus, this camp is one of the most isolated in the desert which is a huge benefit in my mind.

Amazing experience. Never tought it could have been something like this. I had a two days and tow nights in Rum Camp Stars during August 2021. We rode a camel for 5 hours in the desert on day 1 and we had a jeep trip on day 2 with the amazing Abdul as guide in the desert explaining all the places and bedouins tradition. Plus stargazing. Really suggested.

The place is amazing, their hospitality is warm and friendly. The tours with the guide Youssef were wonderful and unforgettable. He is a very good driver and showed us a lot of incredible places and spots. I couldn't believe to be in such a place. The evenings around the fireplace with Salem were fantastic, he told us a lot about the incredible Bedouin life. Ahmed gave us quick and exhaustive information during the travel planning. Thank to all of you for this incredible experience!!
I am looking forward to visit them again!

Rum stars camp one of the most beautiful experiences in Jordan. After reading various reviews, I decided to contact them via e-mail, they responded quickly and with all the relevant information. Once arrived at the point of reception and paid in cash, we get into a jeep and from here the magic begins! Wonderful landscapes, we climbed in panoramic points, we tried the experience of sandboarding, we loved the lunch prepared by our guide in the shade of a rocky wall, and admiring the stars from the field is something spectacular! As for the camping, the rooms are very clean better than many hotels that boast 5 stars without being so, and even the bathrooms are very clean and equipped with comfortable showers to cool off after the hot day in the desert. And to finish them, the Bedouin guides, very kind, available to help you and to explain you everything you want to know, always with a smile. Thank you is an experience that I will carry in my heart!

We had an amazing private beduin tour with Farij (desert fox), who was hospitable, warm & genuinly trying to show us the best of wadi rum and provide us with an authentic experience. It was very enriching to get in touch with local culture & learn about the life in the desert. Highly recommended!
