The prejudice that decent hotels cooperate with professionals in their field does not apply to Hyatt Regency Aqaba Ayla.
The hotel's motivation for choosing Go Aqaba Travel, a one-man company that provides very poor service, is not at all clear.
At the hotel we booked a full day excursion to Petra via Go Aqaba. On the appointed day, a slobby driver arrived in a small car and we went to Petra. Before reaching the historical part of the village, the driver offered to go to a souvenir shop where you can use the toilet.
When we refused the toilet, we were told that he had no money for entrance tickets, and we had to wait for Go Akaba to transfer the money. This seemed very strange, since we paid the full cost of the tour in advance at the time of booking. We had to kill over an hour waiting for the money, but we did our best not to buy souvenirs, depriving Go Akaba of additional income in the form of commission from purchases.
I would not recommend taking seriously any proposals from the Go Akaba agency, since they have neither the experience and skills, nor the resources and means.
All of their cars are rented from third party car rental companies, the tour guides are freelancers and out of the influence of this one-man show called "Go Aqaba", which guarantees you a primitive level of service for impressive prices.
You might as well rent a car, save a hefty sum of money, and drive yourself to any corner of Jordan without imposing unnecessary Chinese handicrafts.

Terrible service accompanied us throughout the day of our trip to Petra.
In order to save money for the company, people of different nationalities were gathered in one bus and the guides were passing the poorly functioning microphone from hand to hand, but we did not get any interesting information either about the country or about Petra as such.
A minimum of time is allotted for inspection and acquaintance with the sights of Petra.
The lion's share of the time was dedicated to the gift shop, which pays commissions to Go Akaba's company.
Lunch at the restaurant is very stale, drinks at extra charge.
In general, this excursion should be renamed "a trip for souvenirs in Petra".
This company is very poorly organized and seems to have no manager at all.
