NEA local food

An absolute gem at the Dead Sea! Anas and his family welcomed us with delicious food and tea, friendly smiles and a beautiful atmosphere. We were so relaxed that we even stayed for dinner and returned the next day for a bike ride around the farm. What they are doing is very admirable and it was interesting to learn about their sustainability project. You must stop here if you are in the area!

Authentic place.
When we arrived, they were welcoming and accommodating us and brought us Arabic tea and fresh cold water.
There were no menus to choose from, there was a daily meals.
It was big portion and very tasty.

Beautiful little local place. Great farm fresh food. Perfectly roasted chicken, Rice, okra, eggplant, tomatoes and cucumber salad. Shrak bread and Vegetable soup. Served with mint tea and water. Great restrooms. Clean. Yes, some English is spoken. Indoor and outdoor seating. 20 Jod for 2. Stop here!

People are really welcoming, the service is fast and meals are excellent and typical from Jordan.

You can also have as many cups of tea as you want.
It's possible to eat inside or outside.

Really convenient when you travel from dead sea to Dana with a fair quality price ratio.

This association is a beautiful place and absolutely worth to stop there. I am extremely happy that I found them and spent 2 days there.
They (all people from the surrounding villages and the city Ghor Al-Mazra'a) created not just a lovely place with amazing local food (vegetables come from their own fields), but the place transmits a beautiful vision of a real community space - there are classes about agriculture and water management, they teach non-violent communication and organise home stays for guests and foreigners. If you are interested and curious about an innovative Jordanian project with a big potential and a huge load of ideas - and outside of Amman - visit NEA (Al Numiera Environmental Association) and get to know his founder William at Ghor Al-Mazra'a!

We had a cooking class and following lunch here. We picked vegetables and herbs and spices in the garden before chopping and cooking them outside over charcoal. The mutabel was sooo yummy! What a feast we had and it was fun also.

Awesome place with tasty locally sourced food and a fantastic terrace. Quite close to the road but still peaceful enough. It's also an NGO that helps the locals do no reason to skip it on your way to the dead sea/Aqqaba.

Perfect place to have a nice home cooked meal after an adventurous time at the canyon. No menu, just a soup, a very good main course and tea/coffee. Totally recommended.

We have arrived without a reservation and very hungry. We were welcome with amazing food, simple ambience and the feel of local community being involved in the project supported by Pleneterra Foundation. Saying that the food was amazing is not enough. William who is devoted to this project spent some time to explain the initiative and show us around. What an experience, and such a beautiful endeavour. Hope more of that in the Jordan to experience in the future.

My friends and I stopped only out of hunger, but the place surpassed all expectations. NEA local food is like an oasis after a long salty journey. Highly recommend stopping here for the great food, refreshments, service, and atmosphere.

Warm and welcoming local eatery. Served a large amount of healthy food, good value for money. Great place to stop after Wadi AlMajib.

A jewel in the area. You won't find many restaurants in the area and this one is just the place to go. The restaurant it's actually on a terrace so the view is beautiful. The food it's as fresh as it can be and it taste like it. The staff are just incredible human beings. Open your heart and talk to them, you will learn a lot.

We got here by accident while getting to our hotel at the dead sea. The host (a volunteer of the environmental site) gave us a very warm welcome! Food and tea were delicious.

We discovered this place hungry and quite late in the day. We were there completely alone and we just ordered ‘food’. Very nice guy broght so many delicious meals and we were just amazed. everything was so delicious… It’s good to set up the price in advance, just for sure. Even it wasn’t that cheap (15 JOD for 2 people) it was great anyway :)

Amazing place! Food is very good here. Owner and the staff were really kind and friendly. The tables are at the first floor with beautiful sight at the dead sea and plant farms. Price for lunch is very nice. The best restaurant I met during travel in Jordan !

Very friendly host and very delicious local food

Stopping for a coffee, ended up with a delicious full meal and an insight into this heartwarming community building a sustainable livelihood! A must stop for whoever is in the area.

This place is phenomenal!! The food is the best we’ve had in Jordan. Perfect stop in between the Dead Sea and Petra. They’ll even give you a tour of the farms. Go at sunset. Beautiful. Yasmine and William are awesome.
