Beautiful bridge over beautiful river. Awesome swing rope jump, which for us was manned by a skillful local, showing off and offering good safety advice. No tourists on our visit in stark contrast to the nearby blue holes. Try swimming upstream for a challenge.

We drove ourselves to Spanish bridge after a visit to the Original blue hole! The road up to the bridge was pretty bruk down but we took our time and just as soon as I thought we were on the wrong road we turned the corner to see the sparkling waters and the bridge.
We parked with Cesar the local guy who asked us for a small parking payment and told us about the area. There is a small bar to get drinks and there was a woman coming up food for lunch.
The bridge has some history and is worth the drive up to see it and of course to swim.

The history is fascinating and it's beautiful! That fact that it's still used after 300 yrs is amazing. It was raining so we didn't stop and swim or watch the locals do their rope tricks. It is something you should definitely see if your in Jamaica!!

I had an amazing experience. The lifeguards are friendly and attentive. I was scared of the steep dive but Duwayne made everything look so simple. It was a breathtaking therapeutic scenery. Highly recommend going and trying the rope swings lol

A beautiful 300 year old stone bridge amidst a serene lagoon of crystal clear water. You can swing into the water or dive.

An excellent place for picnics. Look forward to coming back.

Approximately a 45 minute drive from Ocho Rios. Suggest a high clearance but small SUV or 4WD as the roads are in poor condition, and a lot of narrow roads. To get there you have to drive beyond the white water rafting place which is full of tourists especially when cruise ships hit Ochi.

The drive itself is beautiful in the rainforest, and when you arrive there are a few locals enjoying the place. Didn't see another foreigner which was a highlight in itself.

First time visiting and it was amazing! The water is absolutely beautiful. This is a hidden gem everyone in Jamaica should visit. It’s not too far from Ocho Rios.

We went on a weekday in April and it was very quiet. Cesar and his family are the caretakers of Old Spanish Bridge and the surrounding area as it is adjacent to their property and they keep the water clean and beautiful. The water is mountain fed and quite cool initially. They also run a rope swing off the bridge and have a guide there to help people swing safely. Tips are appreciated for the swing guide.

There is a snack and drink stand next to the swimming hole, and there are a few life jackets for rental ($5 USD). I believe there may be tubes for rent as well, not certain on that.

Tipping is expected for the caretakers as well. We had as much fun (if not more) fun here as compared to any of the paid excursions we've been on, so we kept that in mind when tipping the care takers and the swing guide.

The road to the bridge is quite rough, and one lane at times. Locals will say it takes 20 minutes from Ocho Rios, but it took us much longer considering our small rental car and the large pot holes.

Great for the family, different depths for everyone to be comfortable. Wide open space that was able fit numerous families. I strongly suggest rock shoes. Bring your food and drinks and enjoy a great space.

Secret gem. Or more like a blue sapphire!! But one of the most treacherous drives to get here! Would not recommend unless you have big SUV clearance.

Very beautiful place to chill and I will relax and be with nature. The locals in the area are friendly and won't mind keeping you entertained. You can go swinging into the 17ft deep river, go river tubing, or just sit back and relax and drink a nice cold beer. Be prepared to for breathe taking experience.

Amazing beautiful place. Road is a bit narrow to drive up to it. A wonderful place to spend the day swimming and relaxing. A small bar to buy drinks. Lots of parking.

This place is the best 👌 and the rope is just awesome. There's a part of the water that is very deep so swim carefully but apart from that it's all good.

This is place is one of Jamaica's hidden beauty! The water is crystal clear and feels oh so refreshing! The road to get there is a journey..but once you reach it's something to behold. Ask for 'Shango' once you arrive and he'll take good care of you. There is no admission fee, the river is literally at the side of the road.

Great host! Very remote location, you definitely get the Jamaican experience, there are many other spots in your way, visiting them all, but don't miss out this one.

Very good place but you have to be extremely careful in the water if you can't swim.. There are sink holes in it.. no changing room are bathroom on location. So get dress from home..

The View and the experience is amazing but BEWARE TOURIST there is a local guy there who thinks he owns the bridge and will try to charge you to swim. You do not have to pay this is a public bridge and swimming area.

Went here late afternoon so wasn't too busy. The water was freezing but once you got in it was fine after a little while. I'd definitely go back but earlier in the day when the sun is really hot. This would be a good place to have a picnic with the whole family. There's not much here, bit a few people had drinks Stan, and the Ice cream man was there also

Great experience! I personally didn't jump but my fiance did... He loved it! There are life jackets if you need it for a fee. And even if you don't jump you can still enjoy the water on the shallow side... Right under the bridge is 15-20 feet!
