If you want to eat the real focaccia al formaggio, you need to try this restaurant
Close to the center of Recco, their cuisine is typical of Liguria. Pesto and salsa di noci were absolutely delicious. Service fast and polite. Suggested

We had an incredible evening, the food was great : we had trofie al pesto and the best ravioli with nut sauce.
Special mention to Ignazio who made our night.

We stumbled upon Da O Vittorio restaurant by chance while exploring neighbourhood area. The restaurant offers true Recco food experience. You will not be able to try their cheese focaccia anywhere else, even in Recco. All the dishes are prepared individually, so be ready to enjoy your wait while sipping on one of the wines from their extensive wine list, Barolo or otherwise. Owned by twin brothers, Da O Vittorio is a hidden gem. It has been a part of Michelin guide for the last few years for a good reason. The dishes are well-portioned and well-priced. Their wait staff goes above and beyond making your dining experience perfect, even with a bit of language barrier. Absolutely recommended.

The food and service was good excellent and the ambiente very nice. We had the foccacia for starters, followed by fish & pasta - everything was delicious. Also the deserts were really tasty, classic and not too sweet. We can definitely recommend this restaurant when in Recco. Thank you for the great evening.

Wonderful focaccia di Recco in a cozy atmosphere, also very friendly and welcoming staff. When we are travelling over the north Italy, we always try to come to Recco for focaccia, and this place has definitely always been great!

Did not try Manuelina. Chose to eat here because it seemed less touristy and had more and stronger reviews. Definitely not disappointed. The focaccia col formaggio and mixed anchovy plate were both magnificent.

We went there to get the focaccia after being recommended by a friend. It was delicious!
The rest of the food (different pasta dishes) and the wine do also deserve praise.
Lastly our waiter was a delight, very competently giving advice about the menu and serving the food, while also charmingly entertaining all the guests.
Recommended!

A traditional Ligurian restaurant run by the same family for three generations. The personnel and the owners are very nice and welcoming. The place is famous for focaccia col formaggio, a local cuisine invented in Recco. Other food and wine is great too! The dining room is beautiful and cozy.

We didn’t know what to expect - Recco is off the beaten path for most people. The cooking is excellent esp their signature focaccia col formaggio ( like a super thin crust pizza with strachino cheese ) and the grilled calamari with radicchio (trevisiano in Italian) and balsamic glaze. Definitely worth a detour if you are near Genoa.

This is where you come if you want legit food from the region. I'm sad I can't get this weekly now that I'm home in NYC.

We originally booked for one night, ended up staying for 10! Granted, our vacation plans were flexible and we were lucky with the hotel’s availability. But the hotel itself (quiet, comfortable, free parking and breakfast), its close location to the beach (10 mins walk), the friendly and accommodating staff, and Recco itself, made us want to stay here for the major part of our vacation. This hotel and restaurant has been a family business since 1860 and it shows - it truly feels like one of the better known places in the region, visited by locals and tourists alike. We loved out stay!

Recommended by our Genovese friends we had lunch there during the Easter weekend.
The food was authentic and good. The fish was fresh and the pasta the way you expect it to be. Try the pan fried stuffed anchovies

The inventor of the famous focaccia al formaggio. Very upscale. they usually are fully booked and are available for parties such as weddings and so on.
Going there at least 4 times a year.
My advice is to reserve table at the "osteria", which has the same food at lower prices.
