Ristorante la Filoma

Went there for dinner on my own during a business trip. The owner and the waitresses were extremely kind and welcoming. It was was a quite night and I felt like home. The food was great. I am vegetarian and they had some good options. I had the tortino with artichokes a salad and some grilled vegetables. I did not try any Primo piatto as already had plenty of Tortelli for lunch but I would definitely go back to try them. The dessert was also delicious. The location was very cosy and with an old-fashion vibe. I really liked it.

The chef came by my table as a nice welcoming touch and recommended the rabbit and artichoke. It was a beautifully executed dish! And service was excellent throughout the meal.

Traditional restaurant strongly rooted to the territory. You can enjoy a wonderful, chic yet a bit decadent atmosphere. The furniture, the wallpaper, the cutlery remind of the old days.. Food is incredible, service is very good and the bill also very fair considering the all experience and quality of the food.

Just came back from a vacation in Italy and I can say without a doubt that this was the BEST food we ate on the entire trip. From restaurants in Roma, Firenze, Parma, and Vernazza, Filoma's was the most delicious. If it had been up to me, our party would have eaten here for every meal!

I recommend the Risotto and any of their home made pastas.

A narrow small street in the heart of the old city. Some tables in front of a palace and you are there. You enter a place where time seems to have stopped. The rooms look as if the have not changed for the last century, as if the Duke would come in any moment. Also the citchen and the dishes have not changed, the focus is on traditional local kitchen. But the menu has progressed, bilingual so that foreign guests know what to order. We had a good variety of starters, variation of ham, pie of eggplant and stiffed artichokes. The antipastis : risotto with tartuffy, delicious. Outstanding was the rabit roll. The meals were accomplished by a good selection of white and red wines. A remarkable evening. Well memorized an we will come back.

Words are not enough. Small restaurant with excellent food, local dishes made from quality materials. The decor is dominated by references to the Opera and clearly 19th century romanticism. The service impeccable. A treat not to be missed.

The chef is incredibly friendly. He had always a smile on his face and was ready to recommend the specialty; which was extremely good. You won’t go wrong if you choose to visit this place.

We booked La Filoma on our way back from our vacations on an over-night stop in Parma, and boy was that a good decision. The Filoma is a restaurant in the heart of Parma, pedestrian zone, in the ancient town. We were welcomed by a very friendly host, who let us chose were to sit. We picked a small room with a few tables and throughout the night, we stayed the only ones in this room (there are various rooms). The menu is smallish, but has a vide variety of dishes, heavy on meat. They had no problems creating two simpler dishes for our kids (pasta and gnocchi ragu) and we started with one of the best truffle risottos we ever ate, followed by a wonderful tagliata. They recommended a lovely Amarone to the food. The meal ended with wonderful deserts and a really good grappa. The host was super friendly, provided more information about the dishes and beverages, and we left super happy. The dinner involved two starters, four mains, several beverages, a bottle of wine (60€) plus four deserts and grappa and was around 200€. Don't miss this place if you have the joy to go to Parma.

Incredible food - truly. It's worth a stop. The poached egg with truffle sounds simple but is a revelation. Fantastic, friendly and joyful service too.

Perfect food and service. I don't know how looks like the Italian home style food but I think it was so close.
