Osteria Bastarda Rossa

A great discovery. My partner and I went for a drink on Monday, and noticed that all the other restaurants around Arcidosso were closed, so we decided to go at Bastarda Rossa. The walk was so nice, through narrow medieval streets, and the view from the restaurant's garden where we sat, was magnificent. Nothing else I would want, so peaceful, relaxing and all green 😍. The food had amazing taste, and you can tell from the taste that everything is homemade and organic. The grilled vegetables taste was unreal!!! We will definitely go back.

Amazing gem nestled in the buildings on the hills, overlooking the countryside. Really, stop here if you can, it's beautiful and the staff were super pleasant and helpful. Locally sourced ingredients top the list! ♥♥

A nice catch! Make sure you order the Fiorentina steak at least one day in advance - a phone call is enough. You won't be disappointed.
Apart from the unquestionable quality of the dishes, the staff and the atmosphere at this family-run restaurant makes you feel like at home. We've had 2 meals there during our stay in Arcidosso and even made new friends! Will definitely be back next time.
PS: staff speak good English.

Beautiful dinner in their terrace, we had a big Fiorentina steak for a reasonable price.
Yuri (the owner) told us that he got the steak from the small butcher in the town.
Every product was fresh and local.
House wine match perfectly with every meal.
Arcidosso is a real gem, ancient houses and narrow streets surround the restaurant with a magical atmosphere.
We will definitely visit this restaurant again!

This place exceeded our expectations. Food was delicious all along, atmosphere was great (cozy, welcoming and caring) and the hosts, which had known we were coming with 2 kids made sure they feel at home by setting the table especially for them with Mickey mouse plates, tiny forks and spoons and matching cups. The chickpeas soup was exceptional, the pasta dishes were perfectly made, even the house wine was tasty. Do your self a favor and come here for a lovely dinner.

Super resturant, staff very friendley and helpfull made us feel at ease and welcome. Food was really good and affordable can really recomend this small and friendly resturant. If I could I would give them 6 stars. Booked a table again before they all went didnt want to miss another chance to eat here.

I always come here whenever I visit Arcidosso and Merigar. It feels very much like a happy family. Exquisite food, great atmosphere and friendly yet professional service. Rapport between price and quality is optimal.

Amazing hidden gemstone Restaurant!

Delicious food, with local ingredients and very welcoming people. Definitely one off the most rememberable restaurants I ever visited. It's kind of hidden in the narrow old street mace of Arcidosso but it's worth searching for it

Situata in un bellissimo borgo medievale. Ambiente molto socievole, il proprietario molto cortese. I piatti fatti bene e con cura. Tipica osteria. Ottimi gli antipasti, buono il vina alla mescita, pane toscano. Consigliatissimo.

Proprio stasera siamo stati a cena in questo meraviglioso posto. Non possiamo che dare 5 stelle per la disponibilità, competenza e gentilezza avuta nei nostri confronti e soprattutto nei confronti di nostro figlio di tre anni che dopo 5 minuti che lo tenevamo seduto già iniziava a stancarsi e lamentarsi. Cibo ottimo, il tagliere eccezionale, gli affettati si scioglievano in bocca e i formaggi erano meravigliosi.
Non possiamo far altro che consigliarlo e già non vediamo l’ora di tornare!
