Fantastic local experience! This gigantic restaurant has three dining halls plus an outdoor terrace and it was completely packed on a Saturday evening. The dining hall decoration is simple and rustic: rows of wooden picnic tables and wooden benches.

They are known for their antipasti. We enjoyed a mix of cold cuts ranging from prosciutto, salame and porchetta, to marinated vegetables and a selection of cheese such as mozzarella and scamozza. Their porchetta - a moist, boneless, stuffed roast pork - was especially delicious. The homemade bread (pane casereccio) was a great accompaniment, chewy in the middle with a lovely crust.

The tonnarelli cacio e pepe were perfectly al dente, rich and creamy and had a subtle pepper kick. It was, however, quite salty. Their local wine was also a delight and paired extremely well with the antipasti.

The staff were attentive and friendly, the food was served very quickly and the price was reasonable. All in all, a great and fun dining experience!

While trying to meet friends in the area we were looking for a place where to experience the real Ariccia and Castello romani food and wine. We didn't really know this place, but we found it as the n1 place in the area. I have to say that I agree with most of the previous reviews. Place has the informal vibe of an old inn/osteria. Two vaulted rooms and an outside space in the middle of a car parking. Service is prompt and very chatty and kind. Now let's talk food: really, really great. We were there in 4. Two adults and two children. Us grown ups went for a mixed antipasto (ham, bufala mozzarella, ricotta, salami, spicy salami, bean and pork skin soup, bruschettas, coppiette, capocollo ham and front and centre the dish ariccia is famous for: Porchetta) plus arrosticini (very long and thin bbqed kebabs made of lamb) and a bottle of romanella wine (red fizzy wine). Children went for a bit of our food plus a bbqed sausages and the omni present chips. Everything was delicious and, if I weren't a glutton, more than enough for us all. Unfortunately I am. I couldn't leave without trying another dish the area is famous for: "pasta alla gricia" which is and old relative of a carbonara and amatriciana. At this point the place was packed full of locals which is always a good sign. Pasta took a bit to arrive but it was superlative. After that coffee and bill. All of this humongous banquet was 50 eu. A bargain. We stayed only a night, but otherwise I would have gladly gone back for more. Food, experience, the whole package. 100% endorsed.

Delicious food! It is way cheaper than the Osterias in Rome, for instance, pasta carbonara costs 6 €.
I would suggest antipasto with porchetta, prosciutto, salame, cheese and super delicious mushrooms. Staff very friendly and accommodating, also dog friendly! Highly recommended!

A typical Roman place.
We took the complete "old style" meal. With giblets, cheese, salami and so on.
It is a basic but really good food.
The location at the inside is a bit like a football corner pub but the outside is astounding beneath a bow of a bridge with a view at the village below.

Every time we come down from Nottingham, we book a spot here. Never missed one opportunity so far. Best place to taste the real Roman food history and tradition, surrounded by one of the best landscape you'll ever see. Remember to book a table outside: having your meal under the bridge is the perfect experience to be cool even when is warm as hell.

Probably one of the most value for money places I've ever been. 30 euros for what we ate was unheard. The quality was excellent but mind you don't expect fancy plates. This is a traditional roman type of cuisine which is very humble but tasty nonetheless
