Villa La Mura

Fantastic stay, perfect for families!
Our family had a fantastic stay at Villa La Mura together with another family in July. The house sits on a hillside surrounded by vineyards and hazelnut trees. We spent most of the time outside, either enjoying the generously sized pool and sun-loungers or dining in the shaded areas beside the pool and on the upper patio of the garden.

The best thing for me with this place is that it is so peaceful. The absolute tranquility lets you totally relax and give time for meditation and quality time with family and friends. Yoga exercises by the pool in the morning sun accompanied by birdsong from the neighboring trees is highly recommended! We also had some fantastic runs on the small roads along the surrounding hillsides. There are fantastic views and beautiful flora to be seen all around.

Further afield, within 30 min drive, you find several of Italy's renowned wine-districts Alba, Barolo, Asti and Barbaresco - all worth an outing for the beautiful architecture, and of course fantastic food and wine! Grocery shopping is a breeze in the supermarkets of the two neighboring villages, only 5 min drive away from the house. Fantastic cooking amenities in the house allows for gourmet cooking indoors and out - food to be enjoyed with friends and family in these perfect surroundings.

The house itself is also gorgeous. Large, airy rooms featuring classic Italian furniture but with a fresh Scandi twist gives a luxurious feel. We were impressed by the attention to detail in the decor and the beautiful linen and towels provided for our stay. A large living room and kitchen allow for hanging out inside if the weather is poor.

We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this place for families and groups of friends!
