Villa Sosta

We had an absolutely lovely time at Villa Sosta. The Umbrian countryside was absolutely incredible and we were able to relax and enjoy ourselves immensely. The villa was incredible and the hosts were so helpful with many tips and activities in the local area. Definitely choose this villa next time you want to experience the beautiful Italian lifestyle.

We had a wonderful two weeks in Villa Sosta. Eironwy and Jan suggested many different activities, restaurants, and wonderful hiking spots and were very welcoming. The garden is spectacular; we could pick up raspberries and grapes right from the garden. Both back and front gardens are beautifully maintained. It is not advertised yet, but there is an outside jacuzzi that everyone enjoyed. Spectacular views from the property, sunrise or sunset. Private but not far from amenities and services. Would recommend to anybody looking for relaxing and problem-free vacation - just sit back and enjoy.

If you are wanting a quiet country-side getaway villa, this is the place for you! We (5 adults and 1 baby) stayed for three weeks and enjoyed every day there. The villa was well appointed (especially the kitchen!) and the rooms were large and very comfortable. The villa is very quaint (we liked the decorations) and the view is absolutely stunning. The local people at Bar Capriccio (in Dunarobba) were helpful to a fault and certainly made us feel very welcome. This IS the country/farmland, so there were dogs barking and roosters crowing, not to mention mosquitoes, all of which did not really bother us (two mosquito repellent machines helped lots). The one downside was that the microwave mentioned in the listing was not available, which was difficult with a baby, but we managed fine. There are lots to do in the Umbria region and we took day trips all over. Todi was a family favourite. Claudia (the local contact) was extremely responsive (via Whatsapp) and had lots of suggestions for activities and restaurents. Be sure to have pizza at the pizzeria del teatro in Avigliano! Overall, a truly great vacation HOME.
