Hybla Major B&B

It was a great experience, the owner is really friendly and helpful for letting us know about the region, recommend where to go and all useful information. Very reasonable price and room is clean. Breakfast is a must, only cost 3 euros and they have many homemade cooks for buffet. Easy to park your car nearby too, many good restaurants in walk distance. Strongly recommend!

The last two nights in Sicily were with Gabriele at Hybla Major B&B. From the very beginning he was kind and cooperative without being pushy and pressuring us with "when will you come, when will you come". Quite a calm and friendly place. The first with a large and spacious room, as well as a bathroom, so that a person does not struggle with how to take a bath 😂. The room was extremely clean and bright. We also had breakfast, homemade cakes, and homemade yogurt, just like we prepare it in Bulgaria. Gabriele was very helpful in choosing the right destinations for us as well as the towns to visit to make our stay more fulfilling and perfect. Separately, there is a large store within walking distance, as well as the beaches nearby. Finally, he even gave us a magnet with his personal photo. I recommend with both hands.

A wonderful family run B&B. Very clean and modern rooms. The breakfast features many homemade products that are quite delicious. Great service and attention by the owner. Location is a short walk to the historical center.

Gabriele, the proprietor, is helpful and attentive. Breakfast is spectacular. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. Avola itself has a number of good restaurants within 10-20min walking distance. It's a quiet town but a good and affordable place to reach Etna, Siracusa, and the wider surroundings.

The B & B is wonderful! The photos tell the truth! We stayed in May 2018. The rooms are spacious, perfectly clean and very beautiful. Breakfast was generous and included delicious, homemade sweets. The city center is a short walk heading in one direction, the sea a short walk in the opposite direction. The Interbus bus stop is just across the street so it is easy to get to the airport in Catania or to go sightseeing in Noto or Syracuse. But once you get to Avola, you won’t want to leave! It is a charming small town with plenty of spots for a granita or gelato and a lovely beach just perfect for relaxing. Gabriele knows all about the area and he is very happy to make suggestions for sightseeing and restaurants. We can’t wait to go back!

Perfect! Everything very beautiful and clean. Amazing breakfast with many homemade foods. Everything delicious, way better than most Hotels.

We had a WONDERFUL stay in Hybla Major B&B - we arrived in the middle of a rare cyclone, and Gabriele and her son were our SAVIOURS. When all the restaurants were closed, Gabriele cooked us a delicious pasta made with organic tomatoes by her mother, complete with fresh homemade potato bread and fruit for dessert.

The breakfasts here were the best we've had in all of Sicily; several varieties of freshly baked homemade cakes and sweets on the buffet table, plus homemade organic antipasti (e.g: homegrown courgettes and mint, peperoncino, fresh tomatoes, locally grown olives) and delicious freshly made organic bread. The home-made creamy yoghurt, candied orange peel and mandarin jam were also a highlight, alongside a caffé macchiato!

Gabriele's son also speaks excellent English and kindly helped us out with bus/train times. He is also a talented photographer and his photos of the local area adorn the walls, which is a nice touch. Gabriele speaks Spanish which was also useful (as I don't have any Italian!) She gave us a brilliant food recommendation - Mammarancina around the corner - which was much appreciated; €3.50 for a slice of the best porcetta pizza slice you will ever taste and just €3/3.50 for beautifully flavoured arancini and lovely wait staff.

The room was spotless, shower hot, heating good (necessary for February) and the location couldn't have been better. The B&B is 1 minute walk from two supermarkets, and a minute's walk to various bars and restaurants of excellent quality. It is also just a few minutes walk from the main square Piazza Trieste.

Avola is great if you want to travel to Siracusa/Ortigia or Noto for a day trip, too. Sadly we didn't get to see much of the town itself (or visit the almond museum) due to the storm, but what we did see looked beautiful.

Thank you, Hybla Major! We will be telling ALL our friends to stay here - and we will remember the incredible breakfasts for a long time to come, too! We decided against staying in an Airbnb and I'm so glad we did! Book here now!X

Very nice place near the centre of Avola.Clean and modern rooms with air conditioning. Homemade breakfast from local sources was really tasty.

Allora da dove iniziare: Avola è in posizione strategica per visitare la parte sud orientale della Sicilia.
Il b&b in posizione ottimale a due passi dal centro e vicino al mare e vicino anche a tutti i servizi ( bar ristoranti supermercati farmacie ecc ). Le stanze comode con tutti i comfort
( clima saponi asciuga capelli) e pulite come il resto della struttura. Si parcheggia facilmente davanti alla struttura.
Il gestore Gabriele ( il dolce Gabriele) persona impeccabile sotto tutti i punti di vista,di una gentilezza e disponibilità uniche. Se non fosse stato per lui non avremmo mai visitato posti che normalmente sono fuori dai percorsi turistici e che ci hanno lasciato senza fiato per la loro bellezza.
E poi che dire della colazione gentilmente preparata dalla sig.ra Antonella. Pane,crostate,marmellate ,yogurt, ciambelloni,biscotti tutti rigorosamente fatti con materie prime eccellenti ma soprattutto fatti con amore dalle sue sapienti mani.
Grazie di cuore ad entrambi per averci fatto trascorre belle giornate ed averci accolto come in famiglia.

Absolute Empfehlung für einen Aufenthalt in Avola und Umgebung. Gabriele und seine Mutter sind äußerst zuvorkommende Gastgeber:innen und bei Fragen stets verfügbar.

Das Frühstück ist eine Klasse für sich. Die Zimmer modern und äußerst sauber. Man schläft wirklich gut, zudem ist es um den Ort sehr ruhig, auch wenn die Hauptstraße nicht weit ist.

Il B&b è situato in una posizione centrale vicina al centro storico e al mare, Gabriele è molto gentile e disponibile per qualunque necessità, ti senti come a casa!
È facile trovare parcheggio non a pagamento di fronte la struttura.
La colazione è ottima, ricca di specialità golosissime per un ottimo risveglio.
Noi ci ritorneremo e lo consigliamo vivamente a tutti.

Abbiamo soggiornato per 1 settimana in questo B&B, dove abbiamo trovato un ottima pulizia ed una autentica accoglienza da parte della famiglia campisi. La camera era ampia e pulitissima, e la colazione preparata dalla signora campisi ci ha fatto scoprire delle ricette genuine e tradizionali che si tramandano di generazione in generazione, come il budino al mosto d'uva, la crostata con la marmellata di mandarino e arancio, lo yogurt, la granita al limone e molto altro ancora. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!

B&B a pochi passi dal centro con parcheggio gratuito e facile nei pressi.
Ottimo punto di appoggio per visitare Siracusa e Noto.

Struttura nuova con camere dotate di ogni confort e molto pulite.
Gabriele ci ha accolto con cortesia e professionalità.
Colazione buonissima preparata dalla mamma Antonella ( pane, dolci, yogurt ed altro tutto fatto in casa) che spazia dal dolce al salato con molti prodotti locali.
Se passeremo da Avola torneremo sicuramente.
Consigliatissimo!!!

Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti e ci siamo trovati come a casa . C'è da dire solamente che siete stati fantastici. E se torneremo a Avola sicuramente saremo lieti di ritornarci. Lo consigliamo a tutti.
