Exceptional! A very well-deserved Michelin star. The food is just incredible both by its quality and taste. We took the degustation menu, which guides you through all the flavours the chef offers. All a lot of different courses exploring the different ways to accommodate duck and foie gras. Such a nice experience!
On top, the chef is keen to share his passion and huge knowledge about the different duck species, the way they are fed, the complementary tastes he brings to the foie gras, and so more....

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. I traveled from Como to eat at this restaurant and it was beyond worth it.

Locale: so cute, charming, and warm. I dined solo and had the pleasure to sit by the wood fireplace which I loved. Chef Fournier maintained the fire himself throughout the evening and it really added a charming home-y feeling that I really appreciated.

Service: Excellent. Above and beyond. Chef Fournier is extremely personable and present throughout the entire evening. He really has an interest in who his guests are and wants to ensure that you are enjoying and understand each dish. Just superb service.

Food: Best for last! In short, the food was simply spectacular. I ordered the duck tasting menu that had various duck dishes prepared in different ways and they were all excellent. My absolute favorite was the foie Gras with caramelized apricots. My breath was literally taken away when I took my first bite. It was unbelievable. My second favorite was the other foie Gras dish that also had some kind of delicious fruit accompanied with it. In addition, the bread they served with the dishes was sooo good!! I think it was the brioche that was incredible. And they serve the bread with this butter that is mixed with yogurt. Just divine!! I also had the wine pairing that went great with the food.

Overall, I had an amazing and beautiful experience at this restaurant. I can only HIGHLY recommend this place. More than deserving of a michelin star.

Ok Chef Fournier is almost the Best Ever I’ve met and the food have something that is impossible to describe.
No way you have to be there in any case. Let him choose the best food combinations with wine and everything he telling you.

The young Gioele also is a high standard level of waiter.
They never interrupt you, but always ready for you to ask them everything you need and you know what? They will satisfy you at 100%
My wife and me had the Marriage anniversary and this was her favorite place to go so I surprise her by driving with a black bend on her eyes for 35 minutes to let her be happy to be there.

Tasty, beautiful food - friendly, warm and welcoming with a cosy and classy ambiance. The tasting menu was yummy. And my son loved the bread (and everything on the fish menu) so much - he asked for some as a take away. Will return as soon as possible.

A small intimate and well set up place. Chef Bernard's creations were very good. Especially great were the duck and the warm foie gras! The staff and service were up to par with everything one should expect from a Michelin starred restaurant. I definitely recommend this place if you find yourselves in the area 👍

What a surprise! Decided to attend With my family based on Tripadvisor rating, not knowing it was a 1-Michelin star restaurant until dessert. Walking in, you’re greeted by the chef who was a delight to speak with and informed us about the history of Campione.

The summer salad, hand picked from their balcony garden, was outstanding. Each leaf and flower had a unique taste, and the balsamic caviar vinaigrette completed the dish perfectly.

For mains we decided to focus on the restaurant’s best known dishes - canard (duck). We were not disappointed. The thigh of the duck is slow cooked in fat making it juicy and tender, yet sweet.

So pleased we were with our mains, we jumped head-first into dessert. We plumped for the chocolate mousse, tart tartin with peaches, and the soufflé. The soufflé and tart were the stand out dishes.

The chef gave us a tour of his kitchen and took the time to explain all the aspects of his ingredients, including the preparation of the fois gras.

Give Da Candida the second Michelin Star they deserve! Having eaten at many Michelin starred establishments, I can easily say with the level of cooking and service we found at Da Candida, it is a meal we will never forget.

Excellent restaurant near Lugano. I can guarantee that the servers are one of the best in the world. Chef Bernard was also ready to help our understanding about the food. I have been to more than 10 michelin star restaurants but this can be ranked as the top three. Must visit place while travelling Ticino!

One of the best restaurants in the region. Not only nicely decorated authentic antic restaurant - Sig. Bernard also created a lot of culinary masterpieces. Both fish and meat dishes are good, a very exquisite wine list. Before or after lunch/dinner reserve some time to walk along the embankment of Lugano lake with beautiful views on Lugano, Monte Brè and S. Salvatore. Take time to appreciate this beautiful Italian enclave in Switzerland. Really, a must-go while in Lugano region
