Both children have loved their time at ISI. The atmosphere is wonderful and has encouraged them to take more responsibility for themselves and others. Staff are always friendly and accessible and each child gets the individual attention they need. Thanks from all of us for having such a positive impact on our stay in Iceland

First of all, I want to give my warm thanks to the ISI family. When we arrived my daughter was quite shy and not able to speak in front of people. Her homeroom teacher had an amazing impact. Even though my daughter didn´t speak for the first 6 months, it was as though Kirsten was able to read her thoughts and find her talents.
All of the ISI staff, through their talents and passion, had a special bond with my child. It is the community effort that helps each child shine. The teachers are always positive, smiling and enthusiastic and this energy is reflected in my child and the other students. I have no doubt about this because it lasted for the 3 years that we were here. My child was excited to go to school every single morning. During vacations she waited for school to start.
There is not a standardized curriculum for every child. Each child´s education is individualized and flexible, catering to the child´s needs and levels. This is what I most liked for this school. The school is always open to the parents and very easy to approach consult with. There is a strong bond between the child, parents and teacher - like a triangle. When I came to ISI I was very worried; the principal was so positive and I will never forget her words, “Let´s find a way.”
One more amazing thing is the PTA! They are very active and involved in the school. They really try to support the school in a positive and respectful way.
If I come back to Iceland there is no doubt that I would definitely choose this school again. Thank you for all the wonderful memories staff, parents, and my daughter´s friends!
