Love this grandma and grandpa run establishment. You might be tempted to go to the other seafood place that doesn’t have an Icelandic name. Don’t. This place has authentic local seafood. Support this family run business. The lobster was fresh and sweet. The pan fried placie (No 4) is the best fish you will have in Iceland. Get the wedding cake for dessert. It’s homemade and great!

Very nice restaurant with great views. Food was very good. The hours posted on google were wrong, but after talking to the owner, they should be 7 to 10 am for breakfast, noon to 3 for lunch, then coffee, drinks, and cakes until 5. Dinner runs from 5 to 9 pm, every day of the week.

This place is a must stop if you want to feel Iceland before the tourist invasion. Authentic delicious and tasty food. Really friendly Former fishermen and captain is the owner. Got the cod and fish stew and were absolutely tasty. View to the bay, authentic fishermen town. Good prices.

One of the best meals and dessert we had in Iceland. Incredibly delicious meal right next to the Grindavik campsite. Loved the authentic-feeling fish restaurant and decor located next to the water, gave me old-timey nostalgic vibes. Ordered a fish I hadn't heard of, placie fish (gruff looking owner told me good choice, which is always a good sign) and fish balls. Both were delicious. The cake was amazing as well (top left white cake in photo and caramel apple pie were so good) so make sure to leave room for that as well. Would love to return next time in Iceland.

Great location as well, only 10 minutes from the blue lagoon, affordable prices and a view towards the ocean! Lovely place reminded me warm Sundays of my childhood.

The food was so tasty and so fresh. I ordered the Halibut and devoured it! We had some desserts as well. The chocolate cake with a minty flavor is a must have.

Ordered the fish and chips and it was amazing! The fish was so fresh, it was mouth watering. Headed over after a visit to the blue lagoon, definitely worth it!

Nice view, typical icelandic prices. Pay at the bar and order, then sit, like in most of Iceland. The fish tasted fresh and the batter on it was super light and crispy. I had an apple cake with carmel and it was perfect. The hours posted are not correct, as we were welcomed in with smiles at 8:30 and several others came in after us. A great option just a quick walk from the campsite.

Very nice restaurant with friendly staff and good view of the harbor. The captain's fish soup and pan-fried placie, as well as the skyr cake, were excellent and some of the best dishes I had during 2 weeks of travel in Iceland.

Very nice, very clean, restaurant ran by a husband and wife!
Mainly known for its delicious seafood dishes, they do offer some meat, and vegan options which covered our family.
They have huge booths that overlook the water!

Very delicious sea food. We had the fish soup, fish and chips and the fish burger. All was super good and we can definitely recommend this place if you like fish.
The cake we had for desert was tremendous as well. 😍

What a great find! We stumbled on this cute restaurant on the water. Good food and a very welcoming proprietor. Enjoyed immensely.
