Vibrant Iceland Hostel

Wonderful hostel to stay in, the beds allow for a lot of privacy and darkness (especially in the summer!) The kitchen is fully equipped and the free coffee was a really nice bonus! The best part about this hostel was the cleanliness, and the large showers. The staff members were all very helpful, and generally friendly. The only downside is that its far away from downtown Reykjavik, but the city bus is cheap (about $4 or 400 ISK) and easy to navigate with the app.

The hostel is somewhat self-reliant. The beds were simple and comfortable and the toilets were spacious, clean and offers hot water.

The location is nearby to some of the supermarkets, but we bought most of our stuff at the supermarkets that were nearer to the International airport.

Overall, it was a good and affordable stay for short-term stays near the city, provided you have a rented car with you.

The hostel was very modern and seemed relatively newly built. I enjoyed the rooms, bathrooms, and showers. They don't allow guests to wear shoes inside, so it is very clean. The kitchen area is great as well- reminded me of a college dorm feeling.

Awesome staff and good pricing. Reasonably easy to get to, and the beds are comfy and quiet! Partitions are soundproofed and the showers are big. Huge kitchen communal space, and the people were the friendliest I'd met at a hostel

I stayed at Vibrant Iceland Hostel for what was going to be a week but was so impressed with the place it became 3 weeks. Vibrant Iceland was great. Before I arrived from another hotel in Iceland I had called to get some information. I spoke with Toni who was very helpful in answering all my questions. Even giving me a chance to come take a look at it. I have to start with the overall cleanliness of the the hostel. Having stayed at others I had an idea of what to expect but I was amazingly surprised. The place is spotless. I could not help but notice how clean and inviting it was. The kitchen has everything you need plus some. With more then enough space for any and all shopping you may do. The dinning area is massive and I had a lot of laughs talking to the other guests about everything we had done that day. We also were able to plan trips together and it was perfect. The rooms are amazing. When I arrived with my son we had booked the two bed private room. It is fantastic. As good as any hotel. After we decided to stay longer we moved to the 8 bed mix dorm. I have to say the beds are very comfortable and big enough to sleep comfortable. At 6 foot 1 inch 300 pounds it fit me perfectly giving me enough space to have my computer so I could settle into a movie at the end of the night. The privacy for each bed is better then I have ever had at any other hostel. The hostel is located in Hafnarfjordur. I would take the number 1 bus to Reykjavik and it would only take me about 11 min. So simple to figure out. I can not speak enough about how good this hostel is. Even the showers are as good as any 4 star hotel. But I can not speak about this hotel without speaking about Toni the manager. He was amazing. His knowledge of Iceland was second to none. He knew the best places to eat, have a drink and what tours were the best. He answered every question that I had and even spent his time finding stuff that was going on in the city. He has to be a major part of what gives this Hostel such good vibes. Always their to help make sure that I had the best experience for my whole trip. I have to say that if you are coming to Iceland Vibrant Hostel is the gem that you need to book. I promise you will not regret it.

Really good hostel in the capital city. But it's location is a little bit hard to find . But It won't be a big problem. Because you get a GPS .
My friends and I with lived in the 6 mix dorm. Usually every bed has their own bed light and curtains.
And the sockets are enough for everyone . But they're not right beside your bed .

Kitchen is good , they got a really nice and big kitchen . Hight quality coffee machine (For hostel , this quality is good , I think ...)

And some card and board game can be found in the common area.

Great Hostel. Modern equipment, enclosed bunk beds, cool atmosphere. Most people tend to spend only one night here until they get on their trips along the Golden Circle. Still a great place to connect with other people and exchange stories. Recommendable.

Home sweet home! Really nice hostel. All the facilities are clean and new. Wc with everything, the showers are perfectly clean. Also the bedrooms are perfect, i slept very well.
The dinning room vas lovely and cute and kitchen with everything.

It was perfect for my first day to iceland (after i rent a van to ride around the island) and also for the last one.

Its really cute place, the staff were lovely and the people that you met there also. Very nice enviorment. I will recommend to my friends for sure!

Very cheap hostel compared the Iceland prices . It has an option to share one bed with your traveller and pay less ! Was very cozy and clean! You need a car because it’s a little out of the center but it’s a good location. Helpful staff :) greeting from Greece

Extremely helpful staff all hours of the day and free espresso! The beds we're incredible. It's a bit out of the way if you don't have a car but you're an idiot if you go to Iceland and don't hire your own transport.

This hostel is the one you just have to stay at if you are visiting Iceland 👍

Its very big, the rooms are briliant and lots of clean showers and toilets.
The kitchen they have is really big and they have got all the kitchen tools you need to make a full nutrition meal! And they have free coffey and a good wi-fi connection! 👌

I noticed that everything is just so tidied up and you really get the home feeling when you are living there. The staff that works their are really kind and they will help you with everything you need. Dont be afraid to ask.

I will defenitly live here next time iam visiting Iceland 👍

Stayed 7 days at this hostel and I really enjoyed it! Hostel is very clean and organized, kitchen is constantly cleaned by their staff, great warm shower, heating is always on, comfy beds with curtain to keep it more private. There are 2 supermarkets nearby, and some restaurants (bUt everything close very early as this is an industrial area), I couldn’t find any ATM near the hostel, the only one is close to the supermarket but it wasn’t working, so I recommend getting cash in Reykjavík. You can take bus number 1 to Reykjavík (about 40 min- 470kr) and the stop is 10 min away from the hostel.
I would definitely go back to this hostel, as the price is good for the amazing service.

Best bang for your buck in Reykjavik as far as hostels go. Cozy common spaces, all the amenities you need, comfortable rooms, functional kitchen, lots of clean showers and toilets, and several grocery stores right by. Highly recomended.

Kitchen is great, bathrooms are clean, owners are nice and helpful, beds are comfortable, wifi is fast, coffee is free, and bus stop that takes you into Reykjavik is a quick walk away. Not sure what else you need in a hostel

We stayed at Vibrant Iceland for one night on November 24th. Our seats were overbooked so we ended up on a late flight into Reykjavik. The hostel has a strict no refund policy BUT they did give us the door code and directions to our bed in a message! I am so appreciative of the way this hostel operates. We would've been dead exhausted and dirty from the flight if they hadn't kept the bed open for us. Thank you Vibrant Iceland!

Vibrant Hostel in Hafnarfjordur is a cosy place for travellers just outside Reykjavik which will not make you go bankrupt as a few other places in the area. It is very well equipped and has everything the travellers need (kitchen, lockers, luggage storage, parking, wifi, international atmosphere). I can truly recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Iceland. Great base for day trips around south-western Iceland.

It's very clean and nice for what you pay for. Kitchen is fully equipped. Plenty of space. Bathrooms are well kept. Everything is well cleaned daily.

Great friendly hostel, setup as a proper hostel, beds with curtains, full kitchen, plenty of bathrooms, even oven in kitchen. Great value fun staff, grocery stores across the street
