Asef Vaziri Monument

This mansion also know as Xaney Kurd ( Kurd's house ) is a cultural museum. Basically you can't find and historical thing , except the mansion, but how Kurdish people live is shown. Clothes, plates, foods, sewing machine, guns, agricultural means, portraits, schools, etc. The mansion belongs to Qajar's time. It has a specific architecture. Water was brought from miles away with earthen pipes to its bathrooms. They used special way to warm water. Men and women bathrooms were separated. The pool is painted blue in order to reflex the sunshine into the house. And the bright glasses used are to reflex the light into the yard. Fascinating!
In the mansion you can find some Kurdish foods to eat. Kelaneh is a special bread baked with onion or some other ingredient called " Pîçik or pisiĺ " . With " Do ( دۆ ) " is perfect. Don't miss it! I mean the whole place, don't miss it!

An old house with Qajar architecture that is a museum now

A historical building with a nice artistic architecture which can be attractive for those who want to see a traditional house and learn more about Kurdish culture. The entrance fee is so cheap. You'll find some different buildings in a huge beautiful yard. Each building has few rooms which has been used as a small museum.
I enjoyed visiting there and I suggest it to everyone.

If you're not familiar with the Sanandaj's culture, I suggest that to see this place at the first stage. There are well produces statues in kurdish clothes which can represent kurdish culture from past up to now. There are several rooms that are connected interior, by passing through these rooms you can learn about Sanandaj in a great detail.

it is a great house and a symbol of Iranian architecture . you can also see how was a rich man's house like in Kurdistan.

You can buy locally made wooden backgammon boards from the local shops around the corner, also sanandaj bazaar is in walking distance.

You have a chance to get acquaintance with rich Kurdish old culture in this museum with spectacular building.
