مسجد سنگان که مربوط به سدة هفتم هجری است در ابتدا به صورت دو ایوانی ساخته شده و در حال حاضر تنها دارای یک ایوان در ضلع غربی و رواق‌های طرفین است. این بنا از جمله مساجد سبک خراسانی است و همانند و همزمان با مساجد زوزن و گناباد و آجرهای تراش با کاشی ، پایه، لچکی‌های ایوان و رواقها را آراسته است.
