Very Friendly and You feel as you are family members of them .Thry are just wow..You can freely Spent time with them.Also their food Quality is awesome with a reasonable price . Alcoholic free space .You should carry if you are alcoholic. Room price is also reasonable.I loves that place .

It is a very beautiful place. You would not have seen any similar place in India. But you have to pay the cost. The cost of going through long travel, tough terrain, and steep hill trekking of about 2km.

People of guwahati can go from dudhnoi… refill ur tank in jadi because next u wont get petrol pump…. Book ur homestay before u going there…

Serene, beautiful and just the right level of remote

The Family:
Can they be more lovely. The owner guy was so sweet, he introduced himself individually to the guests. He also treated my friend's injured leg with some oil-leaf magic. The other people were very helpful and made our stay easy. Few of them sassy, few of them shy but all of them amazing

The Food:
Please do not expect anything fancy but please do expect to be blown away. Simpler things can be amazing too. The combination of the hot rice, yummy dal and the achar will be the testimony for that.

Wari chora is located in South Garo hills district of Meghalaya. According to local myths , Wari Chora is called as home of the seven giant serpents which is recently discovered located in South Garo hills district of Meghalaya. This beautiful canyon is 45 ft deep and 500 metre long trail of deep ravine.

How to reach Wari chora:

The distance between shillong to South Garo Hills by road is 280 km (if you want go from Shillong via NH106 road). And 271 km from Guwahati (if you go from Guwahati via NH17 road). To reach this place you will need to take a off-road bike or 4x4 off-road vehicle .But I think the best option for you to visit this place with tour package. Best time to visit :

The best time to visit Wari chora is from last month of October to February. Because during this month there is no rain. This is very important,else you won't be able to see the clear blue water.

From the moment we arrived , we felt welcomed and well taken care of .They will do everything possible to make your trip as memorable as possible. Overall it was a truly delightful experience with garo hills people.

We had stayed here for weekday, the caretakers was really helpful and loved the homely food. In evening the temperature go down, but in tent they provide sleeping bags so feels warm. On second day we visited Wari Chora, which literally stole my heart.

Google maps suggest from Siju take right, as it shorter path but no roads are there. Better go with longer route from Siju

One of the better stay near wari chora. Bathrooms are clean. Hospitality is fine enough. Lots of electricity and network issue though.

Guide is very important, don't travel by bike if you are not a pro. Road is too harsh for some length.

My entire adventurous bike trip to beautiful state of Meghalaya would not be memorable if people like Deepak and his entire family wouldn’t been there. It’s was like home away from home. The atmosphere within the family members gave me such a warmth as if I m of one of their own. It was not hard for me to live such a life as I belong from a small village of Sikkim, but it could be little bit difficult for proper city guy to adjust but hey this is what we have come for right to see the authenticity of our own brother from another mother , Garo hills culture and its rich heritage. The service they provided was outstanding . I had one crazy ride from Siju till Homestay. Thanks to Deepak for guiding me during the entire ride form siju. Without him I would be still stuck in those mud till now, just kidding .overall experience was awesome . Thanks to Deepak’s Youngest brother for helping me clean my bike by running over the riverbed and I couldn’t forget Deepak’s Dad uncle who shared all his stories and experiences he gather around. Blessed to be with them for few days. I wish and pray to lord for their good health .and lastly thanks to Deepak’s entire sister group for providing me such a nutritious meal so that I could regain all my strength and move to another exciting journey to south west Khasi hills of Meghalaya.
The place is beautiful scripted on its own.

If you find places like heaven on earth so this is the absolutely right place for you. it's really amazing. The ancient caves and waterfalls are situated here. To reach this place is little bit harder because of climbing Hills but once if you reach this place you will really enjoy a lot

It's an amazing place to explore and chill at the same time,it's a natural treasure,a hidden gem,a deep and narrow gorge,here you can do boat rowing and kayaking, there's waterfalls,and yo can find so many amazing things related to those who loves the natural landscape and preserved wildlife.
