Punjab Agricultural University was established in 1962. It was inaugurated by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Prime Minister of India in 1963. The university spreads over an area of 494 hectares at Ludhiana with an off-campus area of 1793 hectares. It has four constituent colleges which are, College of Agriculture, College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, College of Home Science, and College of Basic Science & Humanities, besides PAU Pre-Graduation Institutes of Agriculture at Gurdaspur and Bathinda.

Visited this university last November. The whole atmosphere is awesome there. Love the unique design of the buildings especially the museum which you must see if you are going to this university.

It is one place of city that is still protecting natural habitat far from city’s Hush&Rush.
Great place for morning/evening walk, cycling & other sports activities.

The best university in punjab for bachelors, masters and phd courses. It has 4 colleges that offer bsc, msc, phd, btech and many other courses. There is facility of market, swimming pool, playground for every outdoor sport, indoor sports, auditoriums, examination halls, multistory library and a lot more. The environment is well maintained and all teachers are well qualified. You'll enjoy studying in this clean and green university.

Established in 1962 to serve the state of erstwhile Punjab Inaugurated by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, Prime Minister of India on July 8, 1963.PAU produced the first hybrid grain pearl millet in the world. The university is pioneer in apiculture leading the state to produce 37% honey of the country. It is pioneer in successful introduction, establishment and development of Italian honey bee (Apis mellifera) in India during 1962 to 1964 .The university has recommended 809 varieties/hybrids of different crops out of which 173 have been released at national at the end air quality is awesome..😍👍
