Treebo Trend Orchid Gangtok

Ibstayed with my family in this Treebo Trend Orchid in Chikmagalur. It was a pleasant stay.Staff was helpful. The best part is we hot a free breakfast coupon for my family. They have restuarant Vishnu Delicacy in the group floor. This hotel serves both North and South Indian food.Food taste is really good. Overall it is was an excellent stay.But only only thing weekend rates are really high compared to weekdays

I was given room on 4th floor, and it was the largest of the lot with a beautiful view of the city. Breakfast is there and free but no regular restaurant is there.
negative point- Non availability of lift.
Noise from other rooms can be heard clearly.

Stayed at this property for a few nights. Service was excellent. The staff was extremely helpful. They went out of their way to help us with little things. The breakfast was pretty basic but tasted amazing. The omelet in particular was really well made. (There is no running kitchen though. So lunch and dinner have to happen at restaurants around the hotel. Try the ones at M G road. It's a nice walk with lots of food options.) There is constant hot water in the bathroom. The room smelt nice. Toilet rounds felt like toilet rounds at home. This is meant as a very high compliment, of course.

Very nicely located hotel with warm hospitality and great service. Manager and staff were very polite and helpful. One of the hotel staff, Dawa was very helpful and extremely kind.

This is a super value for money hotel as I had got it really at good rate. I was travelling solo. The hotel doesn’t provide any lunch or dinner as there are many restaurants outside at mins walk to choose from.

Pros:
Location is superb as its in mid of Gangtok market.
I was on 3rd floor so view outside was really great
Bathroom was neat and clean
Complimentary breakfast was really great
Staff are cool and friendly

Firstly The Staff if Good. Then the rooms are comfortable and clean . Location is excellent few steps up and you are on Mg Marg. Breakfast is fresh though limited. All bathroom fittings new and work great. This is a truly value hotel. Dont miss. Book for all days in gangtok you wont regret. I got direct kanchunjunga view from window with market. Photos shared

The hotel manager lady is a sweetheart & with good hospitality. she really takes trouble to help you with anything, be it food ordering to taxi. Our 3 rooms were fully sanitized with dettol & was very clean. She even helped our friend's aged mother to cross the roads & helped her carry her bags. Breakfast was okay, don't expect much in buffet. No lunch or dinner avl as MG Marg is just a few steps away from back doors where you can eat.

Great staff! They are very helpful and friendly. Would especially recommend the premium Mahogany rooms for a great family vacation experience. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Hotel is centrally located on the famous MG marg and so all great restaurants are walking distance. Great view of Gangtok from rooms.

Located close to MG Marg. Very close to Cafes and pubs for experiencing Gangtok nightlife, which is awesome by the way.
Very neat and well maintained rooms.
Very friendly staff. Anup was an excellent caretaker.

The only con is the lack of an elevator and parking space.

Best hotel near MG mart. Don't even think twice just book it. Best service best food. Just room are bit small but it's super clean. Dettol is incharge of cleaning. If you need a bigger room ask for 404.

We found this hotel on booking.com and the ratings were pretty good so tried it. The hotel is pretty clean & hygienic. Mountain view rooms are actually pretty amazing. On a clear sky day you can see the whole kanchenjunga range from your room. That is the best part about being in Orchid hotel.
The hotel is very close to MG marg, you can literally walk to Gandhi statue within 2 min. It is very difficult to find out such a good hotel at this price.
The icing on the cake is hospitality from the staff. They were always there for help. We asked for hair dry, umbrella, trip planning, early morning breakfast and what not. They always went out of their way to help us.
The initial plan was just to stay for two days. But we ended up staying for 5 days and it kind of became our home for that time.
The breakfast here is amazing. A bit oily but mention them to put lesser oil and they ll do it for u. Do try masala omlet here (it amazing).
Overall, if u wanna live in Central location in Gangtok, I will strongly recommend Orchid hotel.

Everything was perfect about the hotel. Rooms were neat and cozy, had all the necessary amenities and branded toiletries. Wifi was good as well. Rooms are small. But completely worth the cash.

Staffs were really friends. I found the place extremely impressive, especially for the amount they charge. Receptionists and staffs at the restaurant were really humble and helpful always.

The complimentary breakfast received was good as well. Good buffet system. Restaurant staff Bhopal was always available to help us

Please note that rooms doesn't come with room heater. Need to check with hotel regarding the chargers.

No exhaust fan in the washroom
No lift available. Hence might be difficult for senior citizens as the reception of the hotel itself is situated on 1st floor. However most of the hotels in Gangtok doesnt have a lift

We had a pleasant stay here. The staff were polite and very welcoming. The room had a view and the breakfast was decent enough, good taste with limited items. As there is no in house restaurant, they bring the food from the nearby restaurants on ordering. MG marg(city center) is very near just 5 mins walk. The rooms were cozy and comfortable at a very reasonable price. They also provide cab services if we want to go to changu lake, lachen, lachung, local sightseeing seeing etc., at a reasonable price again. Overall it is a good experience staying here. They even kept our luggage safely as we had to go to lachen after checking out. Photos posted were taken from our room window.

I wish I could give 6 stars out of 5 to them .

Absolutely fantastic .

1. Room

It’s clean. Spacious and all the amenities which are promised is there . There is no fan because you don’t need it :)
The shower works and so does the hot water.
The Beds and sheets are terrific!

2. Vicinity

The bellboy was gracious enough to show me a back door which directly leads to MG Road. So basically it takes approx 5 mins to walk down to the heart of MG road ! Taxi comes right up to the door in case you are coming/going to Bagdogra or Gangtok airport.

3. Service

Staff is extremely helpful and courteous. The breakfast is super tasty and in plethora. The server was acting as if we have gone to his house. That’s how interested and sweet he was while serving the food.

Very great stay at this place. Just bloody fantastic!!

I dont know why this property is a 2 star , this is one of the best property to stay near mg marg. It deserves 5 star. The food options provided by the hotel is good,staff is very amicable and friendly. They provide good breakfast options.

* Complementary breakfast available.

Con:
Not much but they don't serve dinner, although one can order food they will deliver from nearby resturant.

Overall one of the best hotel of Gangtok with afordable price.

This Hotel Orchid checks all the points of a good hotel. Starting from location to rooms, from service to cordiality of the staffs, from food to view from the rooms.
The bonus we got is a backdoor entrance to MG marg which just takes 30secs to reach there. Nothing less than a Harry Potter magic spell i must say :P

The room although a bit small compared to other hotels, is neatly kept and the bathroom was very hygienic. Breakfast services were good

Excellent room and excellent service. Bhupal bhaiya is best as a service person. Dedicated and honest. If you are staying in this hotel just make a small negotiation with this man on your trip and you will get everything i.e. car rent , food. Room is clean and breakfast is awesome.

Loved my stay here... To start with, the location of this hotl is amazing.. you can access both MG Market and Lal Bazaar easily. The hotel staffs are welcoming.. i was greeted by Leyonmite who helped me with the check-in...Bhupal bhaiya was my go-to person for all my queries... He even helped me with taxis for my nathula pass visit.. the rooms are clean and... Breakfast is good... For the hotel staff and location of the hotel, I'll give this a five star experience😊
