A paradise for nature and bird lovers. Situated at a height of 8200 ft, this place offers a great view of Mt Kanchanjunga and adjacent peaks and Gangtok town of Sikkim. The scenic beauty and view of this place is simply breathtaking. If you want to stay in a quiet place close to nature and enjoy the calmness of nature, then this is a great place.

Another great viewpoint for the Himalayan range. This place attract more crowd compared to other view points as there are several hotels/homestays located here. They have the I❤Rishap monument where you can take photos, but it is normally crowded.

Rishyap is a popular tourist destination located near Kalimpong in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is a small village situated at an altitude of around 8,500 feet above sea level. The village has a population of around 1,500 people and is known for its beautiful views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range.

Rishyap is the Hilly village near Lava and Lolegaon. We went there on sightseeing tour from Lava by hiring a car.

Rishyap is one of beautiful tourist attraction of Eastern Himalayan range. 28 km.from Kalimpong. A great view of Mount Kanchanjangha is very clearly seen from here. Snowfall is very common in winter.Tiffindara is another view point is only one km.from here.

A beautiful Himalayan village, magnificent view of mount kanchenjunga range. Many homestays are available, we stay in suntec Resort homestay. It was fantastic. Good service aap beautiful loan from where you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset. Excellent view of mount kanchenjunga. Rooms are also good.
There is a small trail, to TiphinDara View point. The trail is awesome, And from the viewpoint you can enjoy 360 degree view of Himalaya.
The Village is very remote, you can't expect much modern amenities. But now the network horse Airtel and jio is available. You have to face a Little water crisis.

The road from Lava to Rishap is breathtaking and spooky.On a clear day you can see Kanchenjungha from Rishap.There are many homestays here.

A must visit place for nature lovers. You can stay for 2-3 days according to your interest. You can visit NeoraValley forest, Changi Falls and carry out trekking small from Rishyap to Tiffin Dara, long from Rishyap to Lava looking for flora and fauna along the track. Only care is to be taken of weather. Visit latest by May.

A silent valley with scenic beauty... Paradise for bird watcher...There is a mini trek route of 1 & half hour to lava...I felt an Adventurous & pleasant experience in that trek route...Hill Maina is a common watchable bird in that route...

Still far away from the commercialised hill stations, Rishyap retains the unadulterated and unassuming mountain life feeling. Situated in Kalimpong district in West Bengal, it can be accessed by road from Lava. The Lava monastery provides for a quick stop to grab a bite and look around. One in Rishyap, prepare to relax the mind completely. In terms of activities or view points, there is not much. Trekking along the hillside to see the sunrise is definitely a high point.This place is ideal for taking a break from stressful jobs and citylives and rejuvenating yourself. I stayed at Sylvan Stay, which is a homestay but soon to be converted into cottages as well. The place even has a library!! The food is simple and homely. Endless coffee and a brilliant host, along with friendly hotel staff are all the added benefits.

The best part of our kalimpong tour was RISHYAP. Staying here im homestay was a memorable experience of my life. We enjoyed each and every moment in Rishyap. The hospitality of the local people was just amazing. We did a trekking from Rishyap to Lava, the owner of the homestay (friends eco resort) clearly drew the trekking path from rishyap to lava for us. And what to say about the scenic beauty of this place!! the amazing kanchenjunga during sun rise , and you can spent your whole day by just looking at kanchenjunga. At night you should pay money for a bon fire, they will arrange everything for you. will come here again.

Ultimate place to relaxing. Very very quite place rather than a city. Mountain , forest and peace lovers can visit this place. Very mind relaxing but quite expensive place. I recommend for stay in Hotel Rosedell Inn.
