Lord Shiva and Lord Rama are revered deities in Hinduism, each embodying distinct aspects of the divine.

Lord Shiva, also known as Mahadeva, is often regarded as the Supreme God in Shaivism. He is depicted as the god of destruction, but this destruction is seen as a necessary step for regeneration and creation. Shiva is also associated with meditation, asceticism, and benevolence. His iconic representation includes the third eye symbolizing wisdom and destruction, the crescent moon on his head symbolizing the passing of time, and the snake adorning his neck representing the Kundalini energy.

On the other hand, Lord Rama is a central figure in Hindu mythology and the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. He is revered as the epitome of righteousness and virtue, known for his unwavering devotion to dharma (duty). The epic Ramayana narrates the life and adventures of Rama, his exile, the abduction of his wife Sita by the demon king Ravana, and Rama's eventual rescue of Sita with the help of the monkey god Hanuman.

While Shiva represents the transcendental aspect of the divine and the cycle of creation and destruction, Rama embodies the ideals of righteousness, loyalty, and devotion. Devotees often seek inspiration from Shiva's detachment and Rama's adherence to moral principles, finding guidance for their spiritual journeys in the diverse attributes of these revered deities.

During British rule, the Indian soldiers in the regiment were called the 'Kali Platoon' (black army). Since the temple was located close to the soldiers' quarters, it came to be called as the 'Kali Paltan Mandir', which eventually went on to become a launchpad for the Great Revolution of 1857 ,,clean and 🟢 hindu🕉 temble 🙏🙏

Kali paltan is also known as Augharnath temple. I always come here.
And during shrawan month every one should come here.

Best place to worship. Very famous and you all feel spiritually connected with God. Feel of peace and calm.

Yesterday I had an opportunity to visit Temple performed darshan. Very lovely place. Also visited the first freedom fight Stupa (smarak).

The Augurnath Temple a.k.a. Kali Paltan Mandir has great historical significance. It is believed that the freedom fighters of the 1857 War of Independence assembled here and took the oath to remove British Rule from India.

Great temple. I thoroughly loved it with family and friends. Big and glorious. Mandir of Shiva temple ( Shiva and Parvati standing) . Auspiciously it was Basant panchami plus 26 th Jan. As it was 26th we did not have any traffic issue and parking. But I saw some parking area . Thoroughly loved the place . Inspiring mix of North and South Indian architect.
