Sardar Patel Bhawan is named after India’s first home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The building is spread over around 53,000 square metres and built at a cost of Rs.305 crore. It is said to be the strongest structure in the state capable of withstanding an earthquake measuring more than eight on the Richter scale. The building also has an electricity backup for 10 days in case any disaster hits the state. It has a helipad on the roof that will help the government machinery in emergency situations.

The DGP office is inside the campus of Bihar police Headquarter,And the building name is Sardar Patel Bhawan which is on Belly Road ( Nehru path) besides JD WOMEN'S COLLEGE And opposite of Patna zoo. Here every Friday has been arranged "Janta Darbar " in Block C every people can come with his issues and Bihar police DGP SIR listen those people cases and take action directly.

DGP office is a real deal of Bihar's rules and regulations which is implemented here they listen to your problems that should be followed by police station and head quarters..

I recently heard Mr Pandey DGP Bihar, speaking to a journalist regarding the outlaw Vikas Dubey, and I must say we need more officers like him. My respects to your honesty, bravery and steadfastness.
