This place has a very rich biodiversity. There are thousands of trees and it is home to various insects and birds.
There are deer, porcupines, and many other wild animals.
There is a lake where migratory birds arrive and one can visit there with a nominal fee.
Please ensure that it is a biologically sensitive area so, don't disturb the nature and animals here and most importantly do not litter garbage especially plastics anywhere in the zoo.
Thank you.

Here you will find different species of bird belong to india as well as outside of India. If you have knowledge about birds then it will bi perfect location for you. Otherwise you will get bored of it. This place is having a huge lake in the middle consist of lotus flower over whole lake. There are many sitting spaces, watch towers and dedicated path. The whole place feels like a dense forest. Entry ticket was of ₹30 and a separate fee for your vehicle. It looks like best place for picnic. Pamphlet is also available which have guide map, different attraction info and much more.

Nawabganj bird sanctuary is located on the lucknow unnao highway and it takes roughly 1 hr to reach from iim road. It takes 2.5-3hrs to fully explore the area and thus visit it with considerable time in hand. It closes by 5 pm during summers. The ideal time to visit it would be morning to check on the migratory birds. Do not forget to take best camera with you.

It is also good for a family picnic and must be explored. I recommend to carry your own water bottle and food. But do throw the waste in dustbin and not pollute the nature paradise. Must visit.

A quaint sanctuary with a wonderful variety of birds to see during the migration season. The walking path is well built. Places to sit are strewn around liberally. The drive from Kanpur is comfortable. You may want to pack some food for the journey. Be careful not to litter and treat the place responsibly.

Nawabganj bird 🐦 sanctuary is nice place for nature lovers 🐤🐥 this place is located on Lucknow - Kanpur Highway .

We can see verity of birds here with lots of greenry. Best time to visit is from Dec to January because some migrated birds are visible during this time.

The birds migrate across Himalayas from Tibet, China, Europe and Siberia during winters. Some of these birds fly over 5000 km and above 8500 meters high to reach here. Some of the major migratory birds during the season are greylag goose, pintail, cotton teal, red-crested pochard, gadwall, shoveller, coot and mallard. Some major local migratory and residential birds are sarus crane, painted stork, peafowl, white ibis, dabchick, whistling teal, open-bill stork, white-necked stork, pheasant-tailed jacana, bronze winged jacana, purple moorhen, lapwing, tern, vulture, pigeon, king crow, Indian roller and bee-eater.

We also have reptiles in this sanctuary like cobra, viper, rat snake and water snake please beware of them while visiting and sitting on ground.

We have only 30 rupees entry ticket for this place but if u have some camera than u have to give 500 rupees fees for camera.

We have 20 rupees parking fees for bikes

We have lots of places to sit inside the sanctuary also we have some watch towers to see the birds from height.

Please avoid food items inside the sanctuary as we have lots of monkeys who are attacking people for food items in bags.

It is nice place if your are looking for nature and peace as u can listen lots of sounds from birds.

Amazing bird sanctuary. If you're really interested in birds then visit at sunrise and have a lot of patience. The experience is tainted by couples and noisy kids but it's a big place so you can easily find a good spot to enjoy nature.
There are two restaurants and a motel for staying the night. One hour drive from Lucknow makes it a perfect weekend destination

The bird sanctuary is a must if you love having greenery all around you. We went off season and during the day so couldn't see a lot of birds. Wear gum boots if you're going after the rains. We went on a cloudy day so the walk was very pleasant. Good for a family outing.

Beautiful, serene and calm place for a day stroll!
Loved the ambience..

PS-"Pl note, the adjacent deer park is nice too but do not allow any official/worker to let you get some extra site for the deer to take pics or watevar..the motto of them is to take some addtnl money"

The Bird sanctuary that takes u to the outskirts of the city Lucknow and makes u feel completely about the nature. The area is covered with almost hundreds of types of trees and also a place for thousands of the endangered birds.
And, amidst the place is a beautiful and large pond wherein one can find hundreds of Lotus's bloom!

Lovely place, a haven for migratory birds in the autumn and winter.. Beware of the monkeys and snakes, though. Great place to go for a day. The restaurant in there is pretty good too.
