Jagannatha gattu cave temple is a peaceful serene devotional place with cool breeze and relatively undisturbed ambience with preserved nature ..

THE PUSHKARINI located at base of stephan with 4 sides open and small mantapa covered outside is with pillers all over well preserved by AP govt authorities.

the STEP WAY uphill nearly 100 plus steps to reach proper cave temple area with no fencing, and u can find lord siva and lord lakshmi statues on either side of step way ..

once u reach there u can find a small arch ay entrance and sma mantapa to seat then the proper cave temple area with adjascent hananam temple ..
the cave temple is in two storied one with isolated LINGA in semi circular cave and there two main temples with Lord Shiva & Lord vishnu ( Laxmi jagannatha ) temple are there in first floor .. and u will find small venkateswara temple on top of the rock.. it's always better to visit before 5 pm ..

Entrance fee for vehicle is 20 rs and ticket for adults is 5 rs each ...

Location... 2km away from high way
( kurno to dhone ) after crossing railway track and ride school katcha way with sign boards to reach here..

u will get a beautiful sunset view .. & worth to visit..

Fantastic place..lord Shiva temple.. this was actually unearthed during digging of somasila project..near sangameswaram.. very old temple..2500 years old. It was transported from the dam place to Jagannath gattu mountain..you can actually see your face in the Shiva lingam.. the Shiva lingam itself is so big. Monday's are busy n auspicious here. Fantastic place for families to visit, especially during evening time..one can see Kurnool co from the hill top. Beautiful view. Shiva devotees coming to Kurnool should visit this place.. development has been fast and very good. Lot of trees planted some years back have grown now to give a beautiful green cover.. absolutely wonderful place..

This is one of the oldest temple located deep in the forest and mountains very near to Dupadu village which is located on the Highway of Hyderabad to Bengaluru in Kurnool City.Very ancient temple and the speciality of this temple the main idol is present in a cave on top of the hill.Lord Shiva is the main idol and his marriage celebration is done in a very Grand manner every year.

This is a cave temple located on a hillock, near to the Kurnool town on National Highway No 44 on Kurnool to Dhone Route. From the Main Route the hillock was 2 Kilometers a way.
Sri Lakshmi Jagannatha Gattu Cave temple is Midst of hills and forests green valley. Three small separate caves are converted in to shrines and dedicated to Vishnu and Siva. Vijayanagara kings constructed and patronage this temple, Jagannatha Swamy with Sreedevi and Bhudevi are famous in the shape of lingam (phallus). These cave temples are added by pillared mandapas probably during the post-Vijayanagara period. In the bottom of the hillock a beautifull pond (Koneru) is existing with stone sculptures on four sides with mandapas. A valuable source for the study of this temple is the inscription found on the rock to the north east side of the Garbhagruha.

It is near my village just 2 KM. The place is very nice for small tour to pic the children in weekends and place is very very cool.
