किताबें हमारा मार्गदर्शन कराती हैं, और भोपाल में पुस्तकों का खजाना है जो कि यहां की लाइब्रेरी में बंद है, भोपाल में लगभग 25 बेहतरीन पुस्तकालयों में से एक है इक़बाल लाइब्रेरी, जो इक़बाल मैदान के एक कोने में (जुमेराती गेट) के पास स्थित है। यहां पर इक़बाल, अमीर खुसरो, कबीर, रसखान, अमृता प्रीतम, महादेवी वर्मा, जावेद अख्तर जैसे बेहतरीन लेखकों द्वारा लिखी गयी ख्यातिप्राप्त लेखन, शायरी, ग़ज़ल, काव्य, हिंदी व उर्दू साहित्य का का यहां दुर्लभ भंडार है, यहां पर बहुत सारी किताबें 2017 की बाढ़ और बारिश में भीग गयी और खराब हो गयी जिसके बाद यहां किताबों का डिजिटलीकरण किया जा रहा है जिससे कि यहां की बौद्धिक संपदा को सहेज कर रखा जा सके और भोपाल में शोध छात्र, लेखक, विद्वान इसका लाभ प्राप्त करते रहें।
