A wonderful vintage place. The huge and well maintained lawn is an eye catcher in itself and also provides a beautiful view of the queen of hills.
The building is magnificent and gives an elite feel. It is so well maintained. The service was excellent. Rooms were tidy and the bed sheets and quilts were fresh. Heating pillar too was provided keeping in mind the cold weather of Shimla. A satisfactory experience. I will definitely visit this place again.

Hotel Peterhoff in Shimla is a fantastic place to stay. Even though I had doubts about it being a government-run hotel, my opinion completely changed when I got there. The hotel is huge with beautiful gardens that offer amazing views of the city. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, and have wooden floors, as well as geysers and heaters. The food is delicious and inexpensive. Plus, it's located near the city center, so you don't have to travel far. I highly recommend Hotel Peterhoff to everyone looking for a great place to stay in Shimla.

An excellent location, excellent, aristocrat hotel. The Lawn / garden is superb. View is beautiful from the room as well as garden. Viewing Sunrise. Superb quality food. Delicious continental soup. Big and specious furnished Room. Room service is very good. Very well behaved , polite behaviour of Manager and staffs. Enjoyed Shimla stay full to the brim.

The view from this hotel is worth seeing and when the sun sets it becomes more beautiful. The hotel has a cafe along with a lawn where you can enjoy sunset sipping coffee/tea and some snacks.

Royal place rebuilt after a fire broke out. The design is how you would expect the British era buildings to be.
The property has a huge lawn with amazing view, and a small open air cafe in the lawn itself.
The rooms are very spacious, with chairs, a table and a desk in the room. They were clean and so were the washrooms.
Staff is courteous, food is good. Nice place to stay a bit away from the hustle bustle of main Shimla market

It's a spacious quite place away from mall road. Mall road is 2.5 km from this place .e n the kids walked to Mall road. Beautiful view. The only thing is it needs deep cleaning. Bed n furniture are clean.very good humble service. We are here in January during the snow fall

Antique furniture and carpet. View from the hotel is really nice. Friendly staff and very cooperative. My sister's wedding was organised there. Beautiful decoration and delicious food.

If you’re looking for affordable luxury stay in Shimla, this is the place. A beautiful property managed by Himachal tourism department. The main attraction is the lawn in front of the property with a scenic view. The hotel itself is a tourist attraction with historical importance hence you can easily spend one hour roaming inside the property before you start your Shimla sightseeing day!

Shimla s best hptdc hotel

It is the best hotel to stay in Shimla. The ambience in the hotel is great, when we visited there was live music going on during dinner. The food is also great and economical, affordable. It's just near Viceregal Lodge.

Beautiful loding and fooding. The premise of the hotel and it's location is excellent, to begin with. Well behaved staff, availability of all amenities from hot water to room heater to shampoo bottles to in-built bidets, a 24/7 manned desk, freshly cooked meals and grand rooms with wooden decor and furnishing reminiscent of old British architecture (the hotel is indeed re-modelled from a heritage building) there's everything going right for this place. This was my first stay at Shimla with my family and we all loved it. Highly recommend. It's under the Himachal Pradesh govt so that enhances safety, location, accountability & tariff rates.
