NALUMANIKKATTU KAYAKING WATER SPORTS CLUB

It's a very wonderful experience, 3hrs kayaking to mangroves flies away like 30 min. It's absolutely safe and very easy and effortless after few minutes of practising. But weather and wind conditions can play foul and ruin your trip. Also do consult in advance about tidal timings. The coordinators and guides are of extremely helpful nature and provided individual attention to all of us. Overall it's an enthralling and exhilarating experience, being in middle of vast backwater lake all on your own, rowing from shore to mangrove island. Never knew mangrove could grow as high as coconut trees and so beautiful.

It was a great experience. The area is well organised and a wonderful play area for children and all age groups. There are good restaurants , boating, kayaking and other games. Most visit spot for family’s coming to thrissur. There is slight congestion for car parking area , but they had provided free car parking lots with a security person. The entrance ticket cost Rs. 10/- per head.
Its better to visit in the evening as the photos looks marvellous and also they have small light arrangements for photo shoot

Good for go to kayaking and boating experience near Guruvayoor. For entry Rs.10 charging. For kayaking Rs.100 for one person for Half an Hour . Quality and Friendly staff behaviour throughout your kayaking and boating. There is a food court available. Taste are also good. Separate Space for parking for car

Unfortunately we reached and it was raining. So, I personally don’t recommend rainy weather to enjoy the maximum. We did the 30 min Kayaking which costs Rs.100/- and it is a normal one and not in the mangroves. The mangroves kayaking is at a different location and booking in advance is recommended.

Loved it and well enjoyed the Kayaking. Evening is the better time to go for kayaking. Even if it's not evening that we are going, we can also get the vibe of kayaking. In evenings there is more rush. Kayaking costs 100 rs for half an hour. But it's not exact 30 minutes, they give us more than 30 minutes to enjoy. The ticket rate for entrance is 10 rs per head. They are also providing paddle boating, kotta vanji, vanji safari etc. There is a children's park situated next to Nalumanikkattu kayaking spot.

Beautifully calm and serene. Easy access, ample parking, easy on the pockets, multiple choices of what-to-do, cleverly placed children play areas so adults can have all the fun too.
Approachable and friendly staff and owner. Great place to experience with friends and family, sometimes just by yourself as well. Highly recommended.

There is a kayaking area 50m ahead which cost 100 per head for kayaking.
We go kayaking for 1 hour because there was no one waiting.... Had fun kayaking
I think there is kayaking course for beginners as well
Also for 750 rs there is house boating, which benifits who comes with family
At evening the view and lights here are much vibrant and 😎

Economical.

I went for a kayaking experience here. Cost 500 RS per person in the morning. Evening it costs 650 rs. Per person. Morning it starts at 6.15-6.30. You can't go if you are late. The entire adventure takes around 3 hours. It's easy to learn, they provide life jackets and a quick tutorial. Clean and tidy kayaks with provision for carrying footwear and bag.(Kindly note that footwear and bags may get wet). They have toilets if needed to change clothes. Recommend to carry an extra pair of clothes. 2 guides accompanied us with full support. My nephew who is 12 yrs old was tired halfway and one of the guides was kind enough to tow him for a while. Great experience, highly recommended.

Very good place. Lot of water activities are there at reasonable rates. Kayaking just 100 ₹ for half hour for individual and paddle boating just 50₹ for half hour. Nearby food stores are there.

Other than kayaking, there are many other water activities.
There is Children's Park also available.
Evening is the best time to visit.

A go-to place in Thrissur for kayaking and a calm sunset. With different rates for different time slots, we chose the 30 minute package which was worth it. There are 2 sharing as well as individual row boats available. For the best experience, visit in the evenings.

It's a good place to spend time with friends and family , you can do a wide variety of water sports like kayaking boating , pedaling etc , you can explore the mangrove forests , there is a entry fee and separate fees for each activity. Many wide varieties of foods are available . So in short you can spend some quality time

First time experiencing kayaking which is amazing. Enjoyed moments. Please try it at early morning or in the evenings. Refreshing. The area is yet to develop more facilities should be included.

Nalumanikattu Children’s Park and Kayaking Club is located in Kadapuram near Chavakkad in Thrissur district, Kerala State, South India.

The word ‘Nalumanikattu’ means 4’o clock breeze in Malayalam.

Its around 30 km from Thrissur, 4 km from Chavakkad, 12 km from Vadanappilly.

This place is located in Thrissur district, there is also one with the same name in Kottayam district in Kerala.

Its a good getaway destination for a day. Best to go there in the morning or in the evening (at times when the sun isn’t that hot)

There is boating facility available – either you can use the boating with the guide or use pedal boats.

Also for the adventurous, Kayaking is also present.

They will give you proper protection before you go on the boats or kayak (so that non swimmers won’t drown in the even if the boat or kayak is capsized).

Please do note that both pedal boats or kayaking requires you to be in some good physical form.

The children’s park isn’t much to boast about. But you can spend some time there relaxing with your family.
