As a European, I find their chocolate cheesecake is a marvel, with a tender, cheesy base complemented by rich black chocolate. The rum coffee is another highlight, reminding me of rum-flavored Italian ice cream in the form of a creamy coffee milkshake. While prices are higher than local norms, the premium quality definitely justifies it!!

The place is amazing and the food is worth trying. Uncle knows very well the hungry eyes and he serves exactly what you need at exact point. The most amazing thing is you will get a feel of diagon alley from harry potter series.
But you may found uncle and aunty a bit wierd but the best way to get the best out of them is be kind and modest and trust on their taste. Trust me, you won't regret.
It is over priced but if you compare it with taste, you will get to know why it is overpriced!

It's a lovely place with great bake goods. The asethetic of the place is to exquisite.
The gentleman running the cafe is a nice, straightforward person who doesn't like to chit chat a lot which might seem a little unfriendly, but it is sad to see many bitter comments about the place and the person.

It's an old renowned cafe in shimla. It was about to close when we first entered there but the owner was so humble that he opened it for us and some and allowed us to dine in. I enjoyed having chocolate brownie and famous apple almond cake. Also you must try the hot rum coffee served here. Inside the cafe you can see many books which suggests that the cafe owner have a good taste in terms of reading. It's old yet beautiful. It have an antique look from inside which makes it so different from the other cafes around. Highly recommended.

That is the only authentic english bakery in shimla
Its not overpriced ,u just have to enjoy its flavors not to fill your stomach

Some places, some people just keep inspiring. Great cafe to have pleasant conversations with Anil Malhotra and family, while they tempt you with some amazing Rum hit chocolate, Kashmiri chicken biryani, Persian lamb biryani, and some beautiful cakes to please the palette.
Indeed archaic yet intriguing interiors, make you instagramming the place!! For a well curated experience, just ask them what they have best for your day!

Good coffee, cheesecake, and conversation.

The owner is a genuine person who has his own opinions and perspectives. He may have some challenges with communication, but he is open to feedback and improvement. He does not deserve the harsh criticism that some reviewers have given him for being himself. I appreciate his honesty and authenticity.
Would love to visit for another coffee and definitely for the chat.

Loved the conversation with the owner of this place - what an amazing person with knowledge of everything in this world. He makes the best almond and apple pie - the rum and hit chocolate brownie is a must have there. Just feel like spending the whole day sitting and eating at this place. Overall 5 stars to the food and another 5 to the hospitality.

Had the best ice cream on the Mall road. Lovely cookies. Loved the ambience and the owner Mr Malhotra was very warm and nice.

I visited this place during winters and I loved the vibe and the Rum coffee , if you like Coffee do try there range of coffee. When you go inside the cafe it’s a old city vibe library, old furnitures and vintage things . This is near Mall Road and one of the oldest cafe in Shimla

This is one of the best place in Shimla.. They make amazing desserts and the food is absolutely authentic and tasty. Tried Rajma Chawal, Chicken Tikka with cheese bread, Run hot chocolate, and Apple Almond Cake. This is cake is a must try. So soft and delicious.

If you're at mall road shimla, don't miss Embassy Cafe!! We tried Chilled rum coffee, Apple almond cake, Chicken Tikka with cheese garlic bread and Persian Lamb Biryani. They were simply yumilicious🤤!!!

Excellent food every time we visit. Their Apple walnut cake is just too yummy... have tried almost everything and the taste for all is too good. Our trip to Shimla is never complete without a visit here. Must visit place. Some finds the owner arrogant, but it is his passion to serve good food that makes him look arrogant. Pick anything there and you will find the best taste.

Amazing place to eat. Great ambiance. What a wonderful menu. The Owner was particularly very polite and the service was swift. The lemon apricot cake was my favourite. Stayed for a single day in Shimla and I went to this place twice.
