Shri Chandreh Shiva Temple (Ancient Temple) - Sidhi District, Madhya Pradesh, India

A historic temple around 1.6 km from the main road is a good place to visit. The Shivling is huge. The place offers serenity. You may not find many people in the temple.

More than 1000 years of Shiva temple.Its located near Sanjay dubri national park and another famous location nearby is Mukundpur White Tiger Park.The place is very well maintained and preserved by the Archeological Department of India.Many figures and pics and engraved on the stones.The shivling is a 'Swayambhu'

A very serene and beautiful temple. It has a monastery next to it. The monastery has a tunnel leading to another temple around 500mts away. It has symbols etched into every brick. A very spiritual experience.

It's a very old Shiv temple that may be 1000 years old (some locals said 1500 years). Nice and quiet surroundings. A tunnel which has an opening to the river.

Beautiful place.. it's a Shaiva temple and monastary beloging to 972 AD is situated in Chandreh village of Rampur Naikin, Sidhi. This temple was established by the Guru of Chedi rulers Prabodha Shiva who belonged to Matta Mayura Saiva sect for their spiritual practice and propagation of Saiva siddhanta. A structure adjoining the temple is of a mutt (monastary) which contains two ancient Sanskrit stone inscriptions about construction of the temple.

An attractive historical place,

10th century shiv temple with beautiful intricate stone carvings. Adjacent to the temple is a monastry. The temple is situated very near to the bank of river sone. The sangam(junction) of the rivers sone and banas is also very near to this place. Beautiful natural landscape besides ancient temple. A must watch place. Moreover access to this place is very convinient due to very good road conditions from rewa, sidhi and shahdol.
