A cute fort and its easy trek. Most of room are destroyed, all you find is base infrastructure and Only temple remains safe. A beautiful 360 view when you are on north end of fort. The shop is only available at base. Carry snack and water. Overall 2-3 hrs. to enough to trek up/down and explore the place. You need to buy entry ticket and parking is available.

Ramshej Fort is located in the Nashik region. Easy for trekking. The base village is Ashewadi. A parking lot is available at the starting point of the trek. It took 30-45 minutes to reach the top of the fort. The main attractions of the fort are Ram Mandir, Water reservoirs, Devi Mandir, Main Darwaja, Secret door. Enjoy 🚩🚩🚩

Superb Fort, one of the great places where Maratha Army showed their strength against the Aurangzeb army and showed face for defeat. One can see how Maratha's used this forts height and make it as strength to win the battels against the thousands of Mughal Army resources with hundreds of Maratha warriors.. Trek difficulty type Medium, it is slightly slippery in Monsoon season, rest time it is easy to climb.

Nice, Small fort. Quite easy to climb. Takes around 30/45 minutes to climb and around hour to walk around the corners. No any historic structure present on the fort.
Need to carry food & beverages as no stalls available on fort.

Nice tracking place. Beautiful in monsoon. But do trek in winter. It is located on the Nashik --peth route. It is believed that Lord Rama made this place while traveling to Sri Lanka. At an altitude of 3273 feet. A small temple the Ramlalla dedicated to Lord Rama is seen near the rock cut entrance gate. Their is a ancient water reservoir on the top of fort to supply water. Chhatrapati Sambhaji's force defeated the Mugal forces to defend it. Do visit the fort. Be carefull while climbing, little bit slippery. Try not to litter. You will get 360 degree view

Ramshej Fort is a Wonderful fort located 10 kilometres north-west of Nashik, Ramshej fort can be visited during the day because this is best time to visit this place, Recently they provide parking facilities for Two-wheeler as well as Four-wheel vehicle, but parking is not free you have to pay 20 rupees for parking.
My favourite tracking place ever. You can also found one temple on top of the fort. Also best place for night campaigning. So many people visit Ramshej fort for night campaigning. Best place for exploring ❣

Ramshej fort is now a popular hill for trekking, we had started our trek at 7 and reached the top at 8. It was very cold at the top and we all were surrounded by fog. The hill was quite clean and it has got an amazing view on the top.

Ramshej Fort is a small fort located around 15 kilometres from Nashik. You can reach here by Bike. Follow on peth road sometimes Google shows road via Makhmalabad dont go that side. There is a shej ( bed) of Lord Rama hence the name "Ramshej". Good for beginners to start with. This fort is best remembered for the 6 and half years fight againt Mughals. You can reach on Top in less than 25 minutes. On Top you can see the beautiful nature around.

Great place for a small trek. Must start early in the morning to get the best best weather. The trek itself is easy and enjoyable. Visiting this fort in the monsoons is a little dangerous but if proper care is taken, then it is not an issue. The view from the top is very picturesque and the small bodies of water there have tiny crabs which makes this place very attractive. Must visit!

It is a fort with historical & mythological importance. It has a very interesting story. One must read its history & then visit this fort. It will take you 20mins of hike to reach the top/plateau.You will find a temple & ruins of fort. Requesting the visitors not to litter during their visit & carry reusable water bottles. Thanks

Beautiful and short trek !!
Monsoon is the best time to visit!... It's best to start the trek early morning atleast by 6:30 so that you start your descend before it gets too sunny!
You can carry some eatables too. There is place for parking (30/- car) near the start point.
On the top is a huge plateau with water bodies of the ancient times. A good place to spend time and know the surroundings. Be sure not to litre up there!!
Note- If you are visiting during monsoon....be sure to wear a good grip shoe as the rocks might be slippery....The climb gets tricky at few points while descending!!!

Nice trekking experience. Good gripped sports shoes mandatory as there aren't any steps and at some points it becomes steeper...
Avoid walking by the edge as some pebbles & stones aren't fixed in the ground; can cause accidents.
All the effort feels worth it when you reach the Ram mandir...
Overall the trek is for beginners.

Nice fort with a rich heritage . Scenic view from top . There are remains of the historical site on the top. There are 3 cisterns on the fort . The climb is difficult for beginners as there are no stairs .....I have added a photo of the climb , you can get a good idea how the climb is from it .......After seeing the photo do rethink about visiting the fort 😅

short and simple trek from the starting point. takes not more than 1 hour no matter how slow you are.. the fort has very less remnants today, but knowing the amazing fact that marathas fought it out for 5 years will definitely make you visit this.. can get very windy up there (at the location where flag is hoisted).. hope this review helps somehow..
