Puducherry State Obelisk Tower Yanam (SR)

View from the top is good. It's better not to go in the night time in this road.

If possible go with two vehicles. Since there is no availability of eminities it's better to go in groups.

Indian Eiffel Tower, you need climb each step to achieve the top end due to the lift is not in working condition

The Reliance State Obelisk is a sight to behold.
I can picture many a alcohol fuelled meetings that led to the conception and execution ( thus far) of this ambitious project.
A temple to ambition topped off with a knock off Eiffel tower on top.

In all seriousness the views are great and it will be something for the occasional tourist to enjoy
I am sure if we return to Yanam a few years from now we will check on its progress.

Its a very tourist spot, if it gets developed as per the model plan they displayed it will be a great tourists attraction, From the top level we can see the entire span of Yanam and even the Reliance KG Basin , even the internal river splits and a wonderful scenery for nature and photo lovers

Yanam Obelisk Tower, still under construction, is aimed to give the French-Telugu culture of Yanam. The watchtower is still accessible and you can get the nice view of Godavari basin. From the model we can see what is planned, and for sure it will be a nice park.

Nice place to visit. Still in construction. Beautiful views from top of tower. I visited on feb 2020. lift is not working properly , poor maintenance . But it was awesome 😍

Must visit for best sea & RIL view . It is very high and needs to climb up. Currently lift is not working . so have to climb the steps. like 10 floors..

Construction is awesome,but the lift is not working!! And the surroundings is barren land

The tower has 101.6 meters height which is the height of a 30 storey building. You'll enjoy if you get thrilled by the heights.

Nice feeling. We can view incoming and outgoing water from godavari to bay of bengal

Tower was nice but infront of the tower planning was not completed....and also too far away from the city

Nice Outing Place, It has a Restaurent Inside. Located 12 kms far from Yanam. Not fully Constructed yet. View from height is too good.

I am excited after reached it. It is best to view from top.

The structure is just awesome. But Reliance just kept it abandoned. Lift is not working in all the time. Visitors need to go through the steps till last floor. All cannot go to the top as they gets exhausted before stepping into 4 or 5th floor itself. I request the take carers to show some mercy in repairing the lift.
