Bought a rug from these guys and didn't regret it. They were able to ship it folded up in a small DHL package that was trackable. Now I have a great rug.

I was on a tour and asked the guide to take me to a shop that had *nice* local/cultural shopping options. He took me to Art India. I would recommend Art India to anyone traveling though Delhi looking for high quality Indian products. First i chatted with Semeer in the rug area. He was great and really helpful; eventually I settled on a beautiful silk rug from Kashmir (pictured). I also chatted with Rai upstairs at the sculptures and prints; I ended up getting two prints from him (attached). For both items they were open to some negotiation on the prices. I shared that I would need some time to think about the items, which I was able to do that night, the next morning. I emailed and said I was sold and asked if they'd deliver the items to him hotel by the airport, which they were and did. This was incredibly helpful and a great customer service. They packed up my 6x9 rub into a really handy suitcase type deal (pictured) which I was able to check without incident on my flight later that day.

I'm a little confused by the negative ratings. Yes, they salespeople there are trying to sell you stuff, but I didn't have any of the experiences others had and frankly am really happy with my purchases and the service I received. I will be be back for sure!

We had an amazing experience at the store. They have a good range in their product portfolio and the staff is quite amiable in their approach. This place Art india is located very close to the Metro Station and we had a wonderful experience. Few people recommended us to visit this store on our visit to Delhi. The store is located on a busy street and is spread into multi levels. They have products of every range and one can spend many hours just looking at their wonderful crafts. We had visited them with the idea for buying clothes for a wedding. The staff was very helpful and guided us for the same. They had excellent collection of the traditional sarees and Lehengas. For myself, they had wonderful sherwanis and Kurta Pyjamas. We took a long time to try out the different dresses and felt sorry for the staff who had to fold back all those clothes we tried, but they were ever smiling. They even had the traditional shoes to be worn with these ethnic dresses. As the clothes needed alteration and stitching, they even had these facility and in a very professional manned took the directions as regards to the style and fittings that we wanted. Various designs were shown and we were really happy with that. But, when we came upon the main point of pricing, we did realise that they were above the price range we were expecting. Finally after negotiations they offered to us a wonderful price which satisfied all of us. The stitching was offered to be completed in 1-2 days. We also liked their collection of Jewellery and paintings. The painting gallery had amazing collection. Highly recommend all of you to visit the painting gallery. Overall the hospitality was wonderful and we enjoyed our experience there. The clothes were delivered in time and to our complete satisfaction. Our trip was worth it and we highly recommend them. My best experience in shopping in Delhi. They all try to push for buying but here I felt comfortable and didn’t mind being pushed. Infact helped me buy nice gifts for family.

Got my dresses tailored. They were perfect and very fast. They delivered to our hotel which was impressive. Will surely be recommending to my family and friends.
