A fantastic Homestay-super hosts-down to earth couple-totally committed to Nature and conservation-have planned all my tours at less than 50% of market rates and thanks to them we have seen the beautiful Doars and visited off beat places where no tourists go. and excellent company-Great conversations with them -No TV-they have an MTB-free to use. Yeh dil mange more-but we have to leave tomorrow-will definitely come back on a cycling trip and stay with them. They are so laid back that they refuse to be on social media. The owner is an IT professional-ex WIPRO- took an early retirement and got out of the rat race-his wife-Monideepa, is a management graduate with an Army Background. Don’t expect Luxury but a real feel of Doars Which no resort or a Hotel can give. And beautiful Cottages-rustic feel with lots of space -Verandah-huge garden-Organic farm-And Monideepa makes fantastic Filter Coffee-and her husband is a treasure trove of about the Tea Industry-Conservation. I have learnt so much about ART of Living from them. And great authentic home food. Kudos the couple-we will definitely come back and highly recommend this Homestay-specially for families-and nature lovers, Cyclists. Great location-walking distance from the railway station but away from the hustle bustle of the City- a Virtual Paradise ❤❤❤

We had an amazing stay with Monideepa and her husband. The property is beautiful, in the middle of wonderful nature and very close to the national park. Monideepa cooked the most amazing organic home grown food for us, we tried so many delicious new dishes and she took such good care of us. The cottages they provide are beautiful and spacious with plenty of room to make yourself at home and sit on the veranda and enjoy the wonderful sounds of nature and enjoy the beautiful views. Without a doubt this is the best hospitality and value for money we have experienced to date. We've had such a relaxing and rejuvenating week. We hope to return one day soon!

The Ambience and hospitality of the owner was a bliss including the food they served.
I had such fulfilling conversations with Monideepa, a very gentle and humble host during our stay. She didn’t charge us for the tea and snacks & also arranged a complimentary, much needed Bonfire.
I would highly recommend this place to anybody visiting Dooars to stay and rejuvenate their spirits. We had a calm, peaceful and relaxing getaway far from the noisy city.

I am an expedition cyclist from Slovakia and Upvam Homestay is one of the most beautiful and peacefull places where I had the opportunity to stay on this expedition. Clean energy, clean people, an environment connected to nature and sensitively coordinated. I highly recommend to people who prefer silence, calm and kind access to the noise and stinks of big cities. I thank the people who created this environment and who took care of me. Jan

To have a real feel of nature, to rejuvenate yourself in the refreshing greens, to explore the rich biodiversity of Gorumara National Park and adjacent tourist spots , to take a hike by the stretches of undulating span of tea estates, one must visit UPAVAN, the first homestay of Lataguri. I personally believe its only for the real nature lovers who don't like the traditional forest tours. Eversince I have stayed there it has become my permanent destination everytime I visit Duars. The owner, Mr. Pritam Roy is a very humble person and help the visitors in every respect. While his wife Mrs Manidipa is a perfectionist and is very friendly. I suggest Upavan to be a must stay while in Duars.

We stayed at Upvan Homestay for the last 3 Nigths of our india Trip. Instead of going to Varanasi, (Trains got cancelled due protests), we decided to spend time in and around Gourumara Nationalpark.
We found a lovingly landscaped property and Garden with 4 seperate very cute Guesthouses. The Owner Mr. Pritram Roy and Mrs. Monidipa Roy are charming people and very much caring about us. Monidipa cooked very tasty meals, with ingedients of their Garden. Pritram Roy took us for trips to the Hills and to the Nationalpark. We had many good talks with Mr. and Mrs. Roy and are thankful that we have met this sensible People at Upvan Homestay, Lataguri.

Really well located and very good atmosphere. Food is like home, nothing fancy but healthy and organic. Best time to visit is November to February. Large space. Full of greenery, and walking distance into the forest. Must visit.

The location of the homestay is nice and the behaviour of Roy is very good... Accomodation and sanitization policy was excellent, the cooking of Mrs. Monidipa Roy was excellent... The beauty of their garden and the whole place was mesmerizing...

Nice

Hotel is located in a very peaceful place. Hospitality is amazing. Food is homely and good. Everything is nearby for sightseeing. Very raw and authentic aesthetics. Positive vibes and good atmosphere. There are no restrictions as such and hosted by very kind people. I had a great time. :) If you are lucky, you may see an elephant and have a thrilling experience. 😁
