Had an amazing experience with this place.Right from coordination to reach place to drop at station, everything was super smooth.No wonder it was highly praised property on booking.com.Also had breakfast n dinner with them which lipsmacking and worth every penny.Only suggestion from my side is to include tea/coffee with breakfast menu.
Home garden they have is pleasing to eyes.loads of books to read in free time.Beaches are within 10 minutes.
Will recommend everyone to opt for this .Thank you wonderful time ❤

We stayed here on 7 Feb. We were travelling for holiday with kids. Senthil and Ashwathy are superb hosts, they are warm and so welcoming. Both of them love hosting and are very interactive. Their home is like a dream home. Spic and span from every corner and absolutely fresh linen. There aren't enough words to express the way they make staying with them unforgettable. The food is mind blowing, with variety, tatse, presentation... everything beyond explanation. We travelled the whole Tamil Nadu and Kerala in our 20 day trip, stayed at many home stays and met many people but no one like them and nothing like this place. You guys are true inspiration in terms of hosting and welcoming.

3 ladies travelling. I would highly recommend this accommodation. The home is beautiful, very clean, and relaxing, and the hosts are fantastic people. Nothing is to much trouble for them. It is very central and easy to get a tuk tuk everywhere.

Perfect stay. I wish I had more time to enjoy their home and explore Trivandrum. Oyster Marris Homestay was the final stop in our 11 day trip to Kerala. Senthil offered to organise a driver for us for the start of our trip. He selected the perfect person to accompany my dad and I as we travelled through Kerala. Communication has been great. Hospitality has been amazing. Food was absolutely delicious. Senthil and Ashwati have been very flexible and accommodating. Their home (we had a separate space for ourselves) was spacious and clean. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. I’d stay again.

Such a good start to our Southern Indian adventure.
Senthil and Ashtu helped us with money exchange, airport transfers, how to get a SIM card and a great rickshaw driver.

Our breakfasts were magnificent and a wonderful way to experience the best local cuisine. Ashtu is the best cook !

All round enjoyable stay

Beautiful accommodation and very welcoming family. Not very close to the beach or temples however in between both and hosts helped us arrange tuk tuks and taxis ☺ Ashworthys home cooking is some of the best food we’ve eaten. Would recommend her aubergine curry!!

The homestay was fabulous. The ambience was calm and relaxing. Senthil's family was very nice, and they took care of us amicably. Their hospitality was awesome and heart touching. Senthil really helped me plan my trip in the best possible way. They served us a lot of authentic Kerala food which was suited to our taste. We will always cherish the food cooked by Aswathy. I highly recommend Oyster Marris Homestay to everyone.

My stay at Oyster Marris couldn’t have been better, it’s a wonderful, peaceful accommodation a little up the hill, off from the main roads of Trivandrum. The room is spacious and comes with all amenities one might need and, just as the remainder of the house it’s all spotless and shining clean. Everywhere on the property you will find plants, even up until the bathroom, and with windows open and outdoor hangouts (a swinging chair!), all breathes a very comfortable atmosphere.

The food served upon request is local, it’s fresh, it’s plenty and it is incredibly tasty. Food is served in a separate room where also a fridge and kettle can be find.

Above all though, it’s the people that make this such a lovely place to stay. The family goes above and beyond to make one feel
home and to tell the story of Kerala and the Trivandrum area. They take special pride in the foods, explaining all its symbolic meaning.

Should I find myself in Trivandrum again, I’ll stay here. That’s a certainty!

We sadly had to cancel our booking at this Homestay, but wanted to leave a review, as we have been incredibly impressed by the communication, helpfulness and response from the hosts from the moment we made our booking. It was a first time experience for me staying in the Homestays hotels in India. I loved every minute of it! Senthil and Aswathy, the hostesses and owners of the Oyster Marris Homestays in Thiruvananthapuram, India, went out of their ways to make our 4-night stay there a blast! We had a whole second floor with two very comfortable bedrooms/bathrooms, living room with a swing, kitchen, foyer and a balcony that looked like a garden with beautiful flowers. The food and fruit drinks that Aswathy prepared for us every day fresh from scratch were delicious! Senthil got us coconut water every day and arranged our daily transportation. Even their 12-year old son brought flowers to welcome us! We really felt like family in their home. I would give 10 stars to this place. Thank you, Senthil and Aswathy! 🙏🙏♥👍

Our stay at oyster marris was pleasant and enjoyable. The rooms are superbly clean and maintained well.
The ambience of the place is great. This place is apt for families who are looking for a safe and pleasant stay. The food prepared by Mrs. Aswathi is awesome. Do not miss to try the prom fret polichottu. It was a home away from home for us and we felt so much like home after our 5 days of he tic schedule from kochi,munnar thekkady and allepey.

Sometimes, when you are staying at the B&Bs or homestays, the comfort could be comprised. However, this doesn't apply to the lovely Oyster Marris Homestays.

The spacious room, comfortable bed, working A/C, hot water and delicious homemade food cooked by Aswathy.

The house is clean, tastefully decorated, and has a lot of plants and flowers. A comfortable swing chair facing the balcony, sounds of birds ... This is a real retreat.

Senthil helped us to finalize and tune up our itinerary, ordered cars, tuk-tuk, and addressed every our requests.

During one of our conversations, we mentioned that we would love to have a coconut. We even couldn't imagine that Senthil will run and bring the coconuts to us! And it was a late evening.

Aswathy accommodated our weird dietary requirements and the strange meal hours. We are grateful for her patience and kindness.

We adore the owners son Kashinath. He is a such kind and carrying young man with the pleasant manners.

We enjoyed our stay, and highly recommend this homestay for those who are looking for the unique experience of living with a local family. I think it is priceless.

It is a wonderful place to stay. Spacious, very clean and well maintained comfortable rooms. The house is close to all temples and beaches, it is in the center of Trivandrum, yet quiet and pleasant. The best part of my stay is the hospitality of the owners who make you feel instantly at home. I was warmly welcomed upon my arrival late at night. Mr. Senthil had arranged for my pick up at the airport and despite the late hours I was asked whether I was hungry and was served dinner. Food is delicious. Please dont miss. Ashwathi is a great cook. The hosts were always available for any help and need. It is a truly a home away from home. Thanks to every member of the family - Senthil, Ashwathi , Kashi, grandma for their kindness and care and making my stay memorable. Looking forward to returning soon.
