Hmuifang Community Reserve Forest

Lovely patch of a relatively large sub-tropical broadleaved evergreen forest. Lots of bird activity in the morning. The village community have built quite a number of observation points and watch towers. They have also laid an extensive network of nature trails along with a jeep trail which makes it easier to explore the lovely dark forest habitat. There are also several quaint looking rope bridges to cross the multiple small streams which criss coresses the forest. The patch is extensive and also runs along both sides of the state road which goes to Lunglei. A number of birds may be observed if one just wishes to trek along the road. About 200 metres ahead, there is a nice small windmill perched on a cliff, from where there are fantastic views of the valley. On a clear day, one can observe the beautiful Mizo villages of Sialsuk and Samlukhai.

A very good, clean and green place. Good for one day picnic or outing.... just 50 km from Kulikawn, Aizawl.

A really scenic place. Watching the sunset from the cliffs here is just awesome. It's an hour's drive from Aizawl
