Phirangipuram Church

Phirangipuram Cathedral church is one of the oldest and second biggest church in Telugu states. It was constructed in 1891 by Fr. Theodore Dickman of Mill Hill missionaries. There are plenty of buses from Guntur to reach Phirangipuram.

The church was consecrated on the name of Infant Jesus. 14,15,16 of July were the dates of mount carmel. Christmas is celebrated with great pomp and grandeur. The place has 128years of missionary history.

Most Devotional and Happy celebration every year on the occasion of Christmas for 3 days by a huge gathering of Christian devotees.

Every year on June 16th thousands of people will come for this feast. So many schools and colleges are run by Missionaries in Phirangipuram.

Holistic place. Very huge and spacious. We can appreciate the Italian Architecture.

Historical place and oldest construction very rare and big church. Outside place is plenty around the church. A different look and construction with all the Disciples and Saints Statues only White looking very good, are arranged around the church. Fantastic and excellent. And just like Gunadala we have a Shrine with 1001 steps

Phirangipuram Church built some 130 years ago is the second largest Church in Telugu States. There is a huge place and is maintained very well. There is also a hill shrine on the top of the hill containing 1001 steps. Christmas is celebrated in a very big way with pomp and gaiety. The atmosphere during Christmas is electrifying as crowds from nearby villages gather and celebrate together. This place shud be visited during Christmas.
