Koti-Chennaya Theme Park

A must visit place for kids. You will really enjoy the Olden era where there was no AC, No Electricity and all but still people enjoyed living. It really gives a real view of all olden days. Their theme park and museum was great and ofcourse dedicated guide who was very supportive and knowledgeable and explained well about each and everything here

Just 20₹ ticket, museum and theme park is well maintained, clean and peaceful. Recommended place to visit when in Karkala. If you know Tulu language, you can understand the portraits there about Koti Chennayya

Very well maintained theme park. Museum is also excellent 👌. I request the authorities to put display board about story of koti chennayya in other languages and also provide brief description of the artifcats displayed.
If possible print a leaflet about the story.

It's located in Karkala. Popular in Dakshina Kannada and coastal Karnataka region.
Koti and Chennaya are the twin brothers born to Deyi who died while protecting the locals. Colorful dolls are exhibited there which depicts the various plays( hulivesha, kambala and so on) .
A tourist guide was there who said the story about their lives. And also we can see the things that were used that time by Koti and Chennaya.

Its still being developed but you can visit it for free, they have all ancient collections of our culture and a museum which is built in house like structure. Much crowd was not there and sign board wasnt in hindi so could not read instructions properly. But the way to go to this place is serene and wonderful

Good collection of traditional ancestry things ..display is good of art and Tulu culture...pathways should be maintained.also in entrance there is good worli art ..but some plants cover them ..better to maintain lawn or some small flowering annuals here

Very nice park to visit. Dakshina Kannada cultural heritage are been exhibited in-terms of idols. Also one can witness blissful museum of century old items.

Neatly maintained. The caretaker was very enthusiastic to show us around the place. He'd show utensils of several hundred years ago and explain its purpose. Very cool inside the building. But the path to Koti Chennayya statues were very hot in the afternoon. Several rooms with exhibits are present. As the name suggests, the entire place throws light on the lives of Koti Chennaya.

A very interesting place to visit, to know about local history. In charge and Guide Abhilash was very good and narrated the story of Koti-Chennaya in great detail. Also visited the park there with lifesized realistic looking statues of artisans of typical local village.
A must see place for all

Good place to know history of Koti Chennaya. Nice artifacts and antiques have been kept on display. You can spend max upto an hour here. The place was very cool with nice breeze. Not much written information available at the place. Staff available for guided tour.

Nice place. Very rich history of Tulunadu. It's a theme park and not the temple of Koti Chennya. Wonderfully structured. It was still little incomplete - statues. Might be fully complete in coming months. Inside the park there is a museum and entire life of Koti Chennya brothers are displayed through timeline photo frames. Also, other historic household items are displayed.

Beautiful interpretation center.
A good place to do some beautiful photo shoot with vernacular architecture structures. Interpretation of culture and believes are done beautifully.
The timmings of the place keeps changing, further extension of the park is happening on the other side, hoping to see it completed soon.

Very nice place. Well restored to show how the people lived in olden days. Neatly maintained. Lots of utensils, tools and paintings from past.

Peaceful place with lots of story telling. They have various artifacts related to koti-chennaya story. The statues look stunning and realistic.

Everyone must visit no entry fees. Beautiful place and gr8 collection of historical and traditional things of tulunadu. Clean and well maintained.
