Mukteshwar Mahadev Temple

Old aged people/heart patients/week people don't try stairs...

When I traveled (approximately last week of Dec 2023) then construction work was going there. ..

The temple exudes serenity and spirituality, making it a must-visit destination. ~500 stairs up and down. Spending 1-2 hours by the tranquil Ravi riverbank is a delightful option.

A good and unique place with beautiful and the best part is less crowd . You will love this place when you move from pathankot to this side . The scene view are amazing and lunger are running all the time which do have facilities for chai and food . You can donate for lungers also through scanner code . A small canteen is also available . Some stairs on the lower side had damaged in flood this year 2023 . Nice place .

Peaceful place, Natural beauty is mesmerising. Food and accommodation available. It’s very close to Pathankot to dongh village and a short walk of 500 metres to the temple. A must visit temple in Pathankot.

Om namah shivaay. The pandut ji told us the story of how modi govt. Saved this place from drowning in into the dam area. Very beautiful location and great historuc significance.

Mukteshwar dham mandir is situated on the banks of River Ravi at the border of Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab (cave temple is on Punjab side). According to the tales this temple is believed to be constructed by Pandavas during the period of their agyatvas. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and situated in a cave which is an important feature of this temple. We need to step down approx 300 stairs to reach here. This temple is believed to be the ancient haridwar which was not completed due to unknown reasons .
A free of cost Langar/prasad is available for the devotees throughout the whole year.

The place was awesome with great historical backing. Must go once there are no guides so please read and then go about these beutiful pandava caves. ❣

This holy place is under renovation so you might face a Lil difficulty exploring around but overall it's a worthy visit.

It was beautiful experience, the temple was in small cave which was so peaceful. But now there is construction going on so that you cannot go in pandava kaksh but you can go in shivling temple. The river area is beautiful we can sit there as long as we can. For older people it's bit difficult to go there right now. And there is no exact place to stay overnight. Langer seva will be there after 10 am may b.

I went to the holy place while coming back to Pathankot from Dalhousie. This place (Shivlingam, Caves, Yudhishthir Dhuni, Shyan Kaksh) is built by Pandvas during their Agyatwas,

This place is historical and is related to Pandavas. They live here for some time and created rooms in the mountains near the river raavi. This place is currently under renovation. There are a lot of stairs to go reach to this place so better wear sports shoes and carry a duppatta as it is difficult to walk down the stairs on a sunny day. Pandavas have creates shivlings to do prayers and one seriously get awestruck adlfter watching this beauty as creating place to live in stone mountain is not everyone's job

The Mukteshwar Dham Temples was made by The Pandvas jn dwapar yug approximately 5500 years back. This temple is of Our Hindu Lord The Shiva. The temple is made inside the Mountain. There was 3 caves but now only 1 is open the other two was closed due to non maintenance. Now The Central Indian Government is constructed a New Lake because this temple is just on the edge of Ravi River. The Temple is a-lot of time goes inside the water. So government constructing a Lake so the water didn’t disturb the temple. This temple have more than 150 Stairs.

Go and seek blessings of God shiva. It’s a beautiful temple of lord shiva at the bank of river. With beautiful view and nature enjoy the day there. There are at least 150 + stairs to climb. I guess now it’s less they were working in it. U can have lunch there as they distribute free food during the lunch time we called as langar .

Never go this place through Google Map..
It's show always wrong direction for this tample.. my suggestion is to always ask local people beside the road for way of Mukteshwar daam mandir🙏🏻

Very Piecfull place in The pathankot . The place view is Very amazing. Very Beautifull Area That I have visited Specially Langar Of mukeshwar Dham . These are many stairs going down Is Easy But Going Upward is More difficult for the obesied person .Overall Very good felling to visit .Har Har mahadev❤❤🙏🏻

It's very nice temple to visit. Part of Ravi river passes by it. There are many stairs to come down by. Temple is situated in very Green area. Please do not let your elders do hurry while upstairs , This will exhost them. There are some sitting areas along the stairs , use them.
