Overview:

Sagardighi Ther­mal Power Project site is located at Man­i­gram Vil­lage, 13 KM north of Sagardighi town by the side of the SMGR( Sagardighi-​Manigram-​Gankar– Raghunathganj)Road at a dis­tance 20 KM from National High­way 34 in Mur­shid­abad Dis­trict, West Ben­gal and around 240 KM from Kolkata. The near­est rail sta­tion is Man­i­gram on Ban­del– Barhawara branch line and 6.5 KM from Sagardighi Rail­way Sta­tion on Sainthia– Azim­gunj line of East­ern Rail­way.

In the first phase, two units of 300 MW each were syn­chro­nized on 21.12.2007 and 13.08.2008 respec­tively. The Main Plant Pack­age was awarded to DEC, China. For Second Phase, the Main Plant Package was awarded to BHEL.

In the second phase, two units of 500 MW each were syn­chro­nized on 31.03.2015 and 15.10.2015 respec­tively.
For the Third Phase, order have been placed for 1 X 660 MW super critical thermal power unit. Order for main BTG package is placed on M/s. BHEL> Order for NDCT is placed on M/s. PCTL. The Project has received clearances from GoWB and execution shall commence on receiving Environmental Clearance from MoEF.

Moneygram all good PDCL good place good but weather is not very good because the weather is a bit burning eyes and the heat there is a bit too much the place is good to see the area is very big 👌

A huge development project.. But politician smashed local bodys...

Wonderfull place especially in the evening its look awesome .One small market is there. You get almost all the necessary things from here. There is one playground in the middle of B And C type quarter. there is a sweet shop outside the township.

Sagardighi Thermal Power Station site is located at Manigram Village, 13 KM north of Sagardighi town by the side of the SMGR( Sagardighi-Manigram-Gankar- Raghunathganj)Road at a distance 20 KM from National Highway 34 in Murshidabad District, West Bengal and around 240 KM from Kolkata. The nearest rail station is manigram adjacent to the site on Bandel- Barhawara branch line and 6.5 KM from Sagardighi Railway Station on Sainthia- Azimgunj line of Eastern Railway.

In the second phase, necessary clearances received for 2×500 MW sub-critical units. Preparation of specifications for different packages is in process.Tender for Main plant package has been published.

Sagardighi Thermal Power Project is a Thermal Power generation unit of WBPDCL. It has a total capacity of 1600 MW.
