Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhilai was founded in Chhattisgarh by the MHRD in 2016. It offers nearly 20 courses at UG, PG and PhD level. These courses are offered under the departments of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Liberal Arts. The Institute is presently conducting all the activities in its transit campus at Government Engineering College (GEC), Raipur.

IIT Bhilai is the right place to do electrical and computer engineering and go in to work in cyber physical systems. And after mechanical engineering in automation and electric vehicles. The new campus is all set to open on Jan 2023.

Campus already shifted to Bhilai.. Why is it still showing in Raipur map?

Premier Institute but permanent campus not having. Temporary campus situated Government Engineering College Raipur. May be 2023 permanent campus shift. Placements are also good but if take admission prefer top NIT if alloted. NIT Allahabad, Trichy, Warangal, Surthkhal is more better than IIT Bhilai. Reason behind the new setup of IIT Bhilai.

Although IIT Bhilai is presently housed at its transit campus on the GEC ground at the outskirts of Raipur, the work environment for faculty and staff is excellent. The student-faculty interaction is very cordial and there are all the basic facilities one requires readily available on campus. Currently, due to the lockdown, there's also extra security monitoring the entry and exit of visitors and staff, while the cafés inside are closed. But overall, an excellent place to learn and pursue advanced research in various subjects and areas of specilization.

Institute is developing quickly as far as education is concerned. Most of the professors r good and familier with students.sports,dance,singing facilities r also made available. Overall environment is good

Highly talented,well experienced and qualified professors.Even though its a new IIT you wont feel any lack of facilities.It is also equipped with DIY, automation and digital fabrication labs.Wonderful place to fulfill your dreams.At present ,it is not far away from capital city Raipur .Outstanding electrical lab .Providing sport facilities such as grounds, equipment , intra competitions,zym and a osm place for personality development. Fastest growing institute among all new IITs.

As we all know this is first IIT of the state and i hope that it achieves new heights of success.

IIT Bhilai is be a residential campus, with well facilitated students' hostels. All hostels are equipped with extra activities, some sport facilities, recreation rooms, TV room, washing machines, and dining etc. Hostels are equipped with Wi-Fi access as well as LAN connections.

Great experience in IIT BHILAI, I came to attend 3D printing workshop, professor are very friendly and easily taught about topic, volunteer are very supportive, the hotel facility is awesome, sport, recreation room and other are available.It is temporary campus of IITB.

As of now IIT Bhilai functions from its temporary campus in G.E.C Raipur, which is also shared by IIM Raipur as transit campus. Block B of G.E.C.Raipur is being used as the Academic block of the college which houses the Administrative Section, Classes, Labs and Library.

Ample Parking space for all.
Complete wifi campus.
Cafeteria is good too.

It is temporary campus in raipur.

Everyone knows what iit means.
This is no exception, although the main campus is not completely built and currently it is on a lease building of gec raipur.
