Shree Modheshwari Mata Temple Modhera

Shree Modheshwari Mata Temple is located in Modhera, Gujarat. Shree Modheshwari Mata Mandir is a temple dedicated to Devi Modheshwari, a form of Devi Durga. This temple is very famous among the Modh dynasty of Gujarat because Devi Modheshwari is considered to be the Devi of Modh dynasty. It is one of the finest temples of Hindu culture.

Mythology of Shree Modheshwari Mata Temple
According to Hindu mythology, there was a demon who was causing havoc in the village and the villagers had no option but to pray to Devi Parvati for protection. The Modheshwari form of Devi Parvati later killed the demon with fire from her mouth and weapons held in her 18 arms. Because of this legend, the Modh clan believed that the Devi Modheshwari was the clan's deity and would protect them from danger; And built Shree Modheshwari Mata Temple in honor of the Devi.

Shree Modheshwari Mata Mandir Temple is quite historical, clean premises and peaceful environment ample parking facilities are available. This divine temple is quite amazing with a beautiful architectural construction and trees all around.There is also bhojanalay available. They offer lunch and dinner daily and charge only 50 rs. There are also room facilities available

Modheshwari mata is actually ma Matangi, one of the dash mahavidhya, who 10 different aspects of Ma Parvati.

This temple is ancient as well as new. It has been renovated with pink sandstone and looks very attractive. Mandir garbhagrih is 2 storey down from the ground level. The garbhagrih has golden cladding and Ma Modheshwari Matangi looks enchantingly beautiful in it. Mata vigrah is in white marble, dashbuija and ruding lion. The temple exudes divine vibes.

There is big yagyashala in front of garbhagrih at ground level. There is a large Matangi yantra placed on a wall on right side of garbhagrih in the parikrama.

There is a shrine of Ma Bhattarika adjacent to main mandir. Ma Bhattarika gives boon of child to childless mother. The priest says that till today there is no one who has prayed to Ma Bhattarika earnestly and has not got birth of child.

There is Dharmeshwar Shivling shrine. There are also shrines of Ram Darbar, Ganesh, Hanuman and others at various places in temple. It is worth visiting this temple.

Shree Modheshwari Mata Temple complex is well maintained. Lots of renovation work for beautification is under progress. Complex is neat and clean. Huge Free parking space is available. Lunch and dinner is available at Temple bhojnalaya. Temple is very much historical.

Good approach road. food Prasad at temple available. Living accommodation available. Calm environment.

It's a clean and Devine place to do worship and also rooms available if anyone wants to stay

Beautiful and serene place. One suggestion as per Maa the Brahmins have to use huge amount of salt for her to appear from the well. My thought is that we can use this amount of salt and dissolve it in water to make ice from which we can make a beautiful shivling. This shivling should be stored in an air conditioned place. With this, Maa will also be happy and we will get a beautiful shivling of her beloved husband!

Further, pls keep a strict check on the number of boxes given to devotees on donation. There are manipulation happening.

Amazing vibe and loved the environment... Very peaceful and so much of positivity inside and the energy starts from the outside area right outside the gate.... A must visit temple for the positivity at least if not the religious point of view!!!

My kuldevi's temple.

Revisited again 16 th Feb 2020. As being sunday there were many devotees and some marraige were also there. Took darshan very nicely and peacefully. Temple renovation is very well done and gives very vibrant looks. One must visit sun temple as well as becharaji near to this temple.

Parking available inside the Temple free of cost. The temple is located on the way to Modhera sun temple. Intricate work of art is displayed inside the temple.

Excellent place with neat calm and silent place near to mehsana and patan a lot of parking space as well, very ancient temple but maintain and place to stay for ac, non ac, common rooms at cheap rates, nice and clean room, the pleasnt inside the temple is just amazing.
