This historical temple ( antiquities ) is located in Halishahar Barenda Goli and nearly 150m from Halishahar Municipality.

As per available records,this temple was built in 1743 AD by Modan Gopal Roy .

This small atchala temple is with a single entrance ( standard 'Hoogly- Burdwan ' 18th century and earlier) . The temple dimensions are 4m*3.5m . The temple wall is rich in terracotta ornamentations . Another atchala temple of Lord Shiv is also within the boundary area . This temple was also built in 1743 AD but the terracotta plaques in the temple wall are mostly damaged .

At present these antiquities are conserved by Archeological survey of India but renovation is urgently needed.

It's one of the beautiful Terracotta temple in North 24 parganas. The Terracotta panels are too good compare to other terracota temple in the district. It's unfortunate to witness it's destination! Adminstration should take quick action to protect it.
