Anchumurthy Temple anikode

It's a temple located at Poodur, near Kottayi, Palakkad. Devaswom of this temple has done arrangements to perform post death rituals as per Hindu religion and people comes in numbers to do the 11th or 16th day post death rituals of their near ones. It's situated on the bank's of Poodur river which is the tributary of Bharathappuzha / Nila river. There are 5 deities in this temple. This temple has a Goshala where they take care of cows and they have arranged classes on Bhagavat Gita for children.

Well maintained temple with 5 deities. There is a goshala adjacent to the temple, which is also maintained by the temple devaswom. Here you can spend time with adorable calves and feed them. Behind the temple, you can enjoy the serene beauty of Nila river.

Simple and serene temple with a clean river behind. We went to perform death rituals and it was conducted well. The temple raises cows and calves , which visitors can play with. The temple also trains to be priests irrespective of their caste which is amazing!

I did my father's last rites here and eventually came back for the second year too. It is like I left him there . Such a calm place. Need to mention the priest who chants the mantra, we will feel like the athma is standing next to us.

The oldest temple in our area. Beautiful surroundings,river behind. Peace of mind, divine Shakti. Also here they maintain a cow shed and look after it. Such a blessed and divine area near us.

Being located away from the crowd of the town, the whole premise gives a pure peace of mind. Being an old temple, but still well maintained it's one of the best places to check out.
The river bank is nearby and all kinds of rituals associated with death are performed here and that too at a very nominal tariff.

River aside of Temple is so cool and awesome. Many people go there for doing shardham. Very feel good place

It's a peacefull temple near sonakashi river. Deities are Ananda Ganapathy, Mahadev, Mahavishnu, Tripurasundari & Hariharaputra. Ganga arati is done everyday evening at 6.20pm. Bali tharpanam can be done here.

Next to bharatpuzha river and believed to be as good as Ganga river. All the after death ceremonies hold a very high status as per the sanctity of the rituals.

This temple was got renovated about eleven years before. Ganapathi is the main deity facing west called amrutha ganapathi. Lord Siva facing east is in front of the son. Goddess thripurasundari representing parvathy,lakshmi,and Saraswati is in another sreekovil right side to Siva. The deities by name mahavishnu and dharmasastha are consecrated in two sreekovils left to ganapathi.These are facing west. This is the nucleus of sandeepany sadhanalaya charitable and welfare trust providing spiritual study centres,cultural education,etc. entirely free. Priest is Syam chaithanya and Thanthri is Rajalinga gurukkal. Saiva,vaishnava,saktheya chaithanya is present here. Facilities for pithrusradham in Bharathapuzha also are provided. This divine centre is situated in Mathura Panchayath,Palghat district adjacent to southern Bank of sokanasini river. A calm and peaceful atmosphere is always experienced.many devotees are doing darsanam here and get full recharge of positive energy.
